Spurrier quote on Michigan fans
I've always liked the Head Ball Coach, but as a Michigan alum and fan what I like even more is an excuse to pat myself on the back and look down on other programs.
Spurrier: "(Michigan) fans will show class and their team has class. They're not going to be chippy and mouthy the way those LSU guys were."

And yeah I realize this is more about Spurrier hatin' them than anything. Or maybe he's just trying to tone down the rhetoric before the beatdown this afternoon.

is that, I think, UM fans are treated rather well when we travel. (Obvious exceptions, etc.)

Skip to the punch line for the TLDRers...
....last night. I was wearing colors, which is a norm for me - as my family knows little else to purchase for me in a birthday/holiday pinch and Michigan rags are the antithesis of pink underwear to my Arpaio.
This Sparty was sitting with the guest Brewer at a place called Prost in PDX (very nice place to take in USAvsCRC) and said the obligatory "Go Green". I looked at my shirt with a sudden awareness of its pink.
I like when people call out their colors in response to my Maize. I have issues with Bucks and Spartys - but they are my brothers in a sea of Cascadian indifference. I responded with my typical "It takes one to know one" acceptance. It ended with this exchange...
Me: "Go Green."
Sparty: "Go White."
Me: - walks away with delicious Falling Sky Irish Red...
Punch line...
My love of Michigan (and Jim Harbaugh's Odyssey back to Mecca) breeds the class Spurrier alludes to (if only for convenience.) Other schools have this class in abundance- Nebraska, Iowa and Wiscy are three I can name... but it's great to be a Wolverine.

was great for college football, but my lasting impression of him is he quit on his program.
