Jabrill Peppers - Winning over Ohio, one scrimmage at a time

Submitted by mGrowOld on

As predicted by yours truly the day he was drafted, our own Mr. Jabrill Peppers is quickly ending any of the" TSUN" hater nonsense from Browns fans & media through his play on the field.  Last night the Browns held an open scrimmage at First Energy and the two players that stood out the most were Myles Garrett and JP.

I've been telling everybody here since the day he put on his #27 #22 Browns jersey by seasons end he will be the most popular player on the Browns.  Even with those who wear their OSU crap to Browns games.

One of the more rewarding things about Jabrill Peppers that nobody is talking about, is his willingness to be coached, and what a great teamate he is. This is an elite football player that doesnt have any diva to him what so ever. This is a great guy to have in your locker room.

^This right here. Because most talk about his athleticism, it's overlooked how selfless of a move it was to go to LB last year. McCray was a pleasant surprise, but without Jabrill moving our LB core would've been screwed.

Although it allowed him to show versatility, I think it hurt his draft stock more than anything because he wasn't able to prove himself in pass coverage enough.

Browns beat report Daryl Ruiter (who tends to be a negative nancy fwiw) just posted this.  Joe Haden was talking about Garrett & Peppers this morning

We would of liked him a whole lot more if his dad would have let his son chose his own university. I don't know if it is true but I heard he threatened to disown him. Now that is why osu fans are so respected. Between osu fans and psu fans it really is a hard choice to which ones carry themselves with the most class isn't it.

OMG. F*ck Ohio. When Speilman was a Lil n nobody here thought once of being OSU. If the fans are that petty then they deserve a perpetual losing team.

I feel bad because it was my team (Texans) whose trade with the Browns sealed Jabrill's fate. I love Jabrill but I hope we smash the shit out of the Browns in week 6.
