OT--CC Sabathia no-hitter
CC Sabathia has a no-hitter going against Tampa after 7. I sure hope that I'm not jinxing his NO-HITTER by mentioning his potential NO-HITTER several times because a NO-HITTER is a rare and difficult thing to achieve, although the Fox announcers have mentioned several times that Sabathia HASN'T GIVEN UP A HIT
EDIT: it's like freakin' "For Love of the Game" over here as the Yankees keep making ridiculous defensive plays to preserve the NO-HITTER
Edit #2: Catcher Kelly Shoppach gets a 2-out single to left to end the no-hitter. CC will just have to settle for an easy win.
Aaaand it's gone.
Haha successful jinx

The OP will RUE THE DAY. GOOD DAY SIR!
The jinx worked. The evil empire will not be celebrating a no-hitter today. Horray!
Although I can't help but cheer for Curtis Granderson still.
That is independent from the team he plays for.
Agreed, Granderson's more than earned that much. I hope he goes 40/40 and the Yankees miss the playoffs.
Also, behold the power of MGoBlog!
didn't take long after your post...just kidding...thanks for the heads up - I didn't know it was happening
is sending his two thugs Moose and Rocco your way to break your extremities. I hope you have a good orthopedic surgeon.
Joe Buck needs to go the hell away. He jinxed it like 17 times.
This just proves that MGoBlog is a weapon, used for the good of mankind.
For the love of the Lord, don't let Tater find out that MGoBlog changed the course of a no-no. He'll let the Yankmees know and they'll use their evil stormtroopers to take us down.
You never post about a no-hitter before it's official. You don't even say the words. When someone walks into the room and they ask what's up, you just point to the score, you say CC hasn't given up a hit, but you don't say "No-Hitter". Not until the game is over. If someone starts to say "no-hitter" before it's a no-hitter, you hit that guy on his shoulder and hard. He'll understand. These are the fan rules.
You totally jinxed CC, man. Damn you!
I can't tell if you're trolling or just didn't get the joke
or you didn't get his. I'm honestly not sure which.
Give me a little credit. I was watching the game; OP's joke was obvious. I just thought my opinion was relevant relating back: everyone knows some jack-ass who comes in and "jinxes" a no-hitter and leaves you seething on the logic-less basis of mere zealous fandom. It's just funny. But I realize the OP didn't do that.
I thought he was just playing along. I've found the whole thread pretty humorous.
THE YANKEES WIN
Hey, how come Yanks or Red Sox not on Sunday Night Baseball? Only asking so I can post this. Not a Yankee fan, but I do appreciate mad announcing skills:)
