Brad Hawkins article on a slow news day
Saw a short but informative article by Isaiah Hole over at 247. Synopsis: Prep School was good for Brad and while he could play WR, the staff thinks he can be an impact player at safety.

Harbaugh and Brown for sure, but I also have a lot of confidence in the secondary coaches to get him up to speed as soon as possible.
Young man could be a phenomenal safety.

as well as Hawkins skills considering there were a lot of people this year saying how much they loved his tape this year.

Dude, you're dreaming, not that I know anything specific about Brad, but what you need to wish for with virtually all players is that they know how not to get caught. Do you really think the toking major college major sport athlete is a rarity?

In all our years of following crooting, how often does a guy who fails to make campus immediately manage to make it back later? I can't remember another instance of Michigan recruiting redemption quite like this. I hope he does well here. He's put in a lot of work just to make it here. Respect.

to Michigan. He has potential to be a big contributor for the next 4 years.

Gotta love the way Harbaugh & Staff are turning guys with classroom challenges into good students first, while keeping them in the fold to be contributors on the football field.

right on, thats one of the many reasons we all love michigan!
great to see a coach make more definitive comment on hawkins the defender...most have assumed hell get a look at both WR and S but nice to hear it from the coaches...they obviously need immediate help at S and while they also need help at WR, they have less bodies in the mix at S. if hes on board with it and ready to rock, hawkins has a shot to contribute right away with other 2 frosh safeties

He's earned the right to don the uniform, and I hope to see him accomplish great things here.

Seems like the kid worked his ass off to get into Michigan. You can truly see he wants to be a Wolverine.

Would be great to get his athleticism in the secondary. Looking forward to seeing Hawkins in the Maize n Blue.
