I always read Kwitty Paye in my head as "Kutie Pie," but I think it is actually "quit-he pay."

I can't remember the last time a player's ratings were so vastly different on the four major recruiting sites (ESPN, 247, Rivals, Scout). Obviously it has something to do with him playing in Rhode Island, but it is still bizarre.
For example... On ESPN, he is ranked the 26th at his position. Donovan Jeter is ranked two spots below, at 28. For comparison, on the 247 composite (IMO the best guage), Paye is the 968th player overall and 48th ranked WDE. Jeter is the 280th ranked player overall and 11th ranked SDE.
Obviously Paye's composite score is dragged down by 247, Scout and Rival's assessment. But it appears the only reason he's ranked at all on the composite is because his favorable ESPN ranking. Why the disparity? Is ESPN the only group of the bunch analyzing him fairly due to proximity?

My guess is it is a combination of many things. He was an early commit to BC, didn't seem to go on the camp circuit, RI doesn't seem to be a hotbed for scouting, and he may be held back by the level of competition he faces there. Some of that may be alleviated by getting a chance at the UA AA game against better players in front of more scouts.

Makes it even more impressive for a kid from Rhode Island to win the fan vote, don't you think?

Which is exactly the kind of things we want recruits to see.
You commit to Michigan, you have millions of people pulling for you before you even step foot on campus.

I'm an RI native alum ('87) and I have to say it's got to be about Don Brown originally wanting the kid at BC. Any player coming out of RI with P5 potential will be coming from a Catholic school most likely and will be BC's to take if they want him.
RI high school football is marginal at best, though his program is clearly the state power and has been forever. This state is so small, the Catholic powers that can recruit play against the publics, which can't, so the competition is highly skewed and suspect. But if Brown thinks he's a fit for the '17 class, that's ok with me!

The fan base stepped up for Kwity but we didn't vote enough for Aubrey in the "Michigan H.S. Athlete of Year". Come on man !
