for Rutgers. Really, the most divisive figure in college football?

As a New Jersey native, I can tell you from past experience that Rutgers has never, ever been a recruiting challenge to any major football program that wanted one of the state's best players. And Harbaugh has simply elongated that longterm trend.

This whole attitude of Rutgers viewing Michigan as a rival is certainly promulgated by their head coach, a former Ohio State assistant under Urban Meyer.

How about Michigan is just a far better school than Rutgers, period. I hope Michigan makes the Scarlett Knights look ridiculous Saturday night.

...But why is Urban Meyer and OSU's name inconspicously absent in this podcast?  Rutgers seems like Mich/OSU Proxy war.  Rutgers is like OSU's east Germany.

Rutgers should be worried about Penn ST and/or Maryland.

When ever would the very best players in New Jersey go to Rutgers?  It has nothing to do with Michigan.  It's a decision about a kid's future.  Would you trust that future to Rutgers?  They haven't earned that trust.

This podcast is spoken from the perspective that somehow Rutgers is on equal footing with not just Michigan but with any school in the Big Ten.

It comes off delusional.

an interesting state geographically. One of the most densely populated states in the country, Because Rutgers has never been a football power, it has never been able to protect its recruiting base. Ohio State and Penn State have come into the state for decades and picked off of some of the best talent including two guys who eventually wound up in the NFL playing for the rival KC Chiefs and Oakland Raiders and who both played on the  OSU team that lost to Michigan in one of Bo's greatest wins and Woody's harshest defeat in 1969.

Bruce Jankowski and Jack Tatum were two of the best playerrs to ever come out of New Jersey. Tatum, a five-time all-pro, and a hardhitting defensive back who is best known for a hit that ended the career and paralyzed New England receiver Darryl Stingley in an exhibition game, died at the age of 61. He was recruited by Lou Holtz as a running back from Passaic High School after his family moved from Cherryville, NC.

It's just a little bit of fun; this particular game needs a little hype to get non-UM people at all interested. Otherwise it's a sleeper.

Oh, and there's still that little matter of revenge for Rutgers' win in 2014.

I'm floored by how this asserts that satellite camps are a "loophole" that allow coaches "to skirt recruiting rules." That, of course, is absurd. It's like arguing that permissible tax deductions allow taxpayers to "skirt" tax law. Satellite camps are permitted by the recruiting rules, or we wouldn't do them.

Did they mention that they have a better win% against us than ohio state (.450) and michigan state (.347)? It'll be true for a few more days. They should totally run with that.

I cannot believe the spread is only 4 touchdowns. Their buddies osu ran up nearly 60 on them and coach Harbaugh will have zero incentive to let the foot off the gas (this is accounting for pulling and resting starters, the second and third stringers should still steamroll them).

I already have almost half my bankroll on -26.5 and -27.5.  Going into this game I felt -32 would be a gift.  I'm not going to say it's "can't lose money" but I guess I just did.  Vegas is DISRESPEKTING us based on not covering vs Wiscy.  I might add that the spread when OSU played them was -38.  I didn't take it because I thought Urban Meyer would ease up against a former assistant.  Crap, if Meyer beat them like that, and he likes Chris Ash, how badly do you think Harbaugh is going to beat them?

I still took the spread even though I thought Meyer may take it easy. Just could not see Rutgers score much on them with grant, with him out I though 7 was the max. I should jump on the 26.5 but I don't like having money tide up for earlier games. Anything under the osu spread is a number I'll put at least some on. I think Jim may pull starters a little earlier here than verse other blowouts but I still see a score close to what osu put on them.

Beware the weather. It may actually help us. I don't know. But in sloppy weather games weird things happen. It is so damn enticing though. It's as if they don't really think our offenses numbers are real. I know they're not questioning our defense, so maybe it's a gift.

Did anyone actually make it through that whole thing? I made it through the beginning, which could only be called propaganda becuase of how far they stretched the truth to push their narritive. But even when that stopped it was boringness mixed in with a bit of comical delusion -- like Michigan is Rutgers top recruiting rival. Come on man, temple or Maryland better fit that category.
