I kind of doubt he'd want to put in the time necessary to coach. He has a lot of interests outside of football, like his own vineyards in Napa.

Being a great player does not universally equal being a great or natural coach.

It doesn't exclude him either

Has there ever been any inclination that Woodson is interested in coaching? No. Yet every time there's a thread about Woodson, there's the "I wish they would have hired him to coach."
When you look at the staff Harbaugh has assembled, with the coaching experience and pedigree they all have, where does Woodson fit in?

I met Charles at an autograph show outside of Chicago & I asked him if he'd ever coach. He said he'd NEVER coach.

I also verified this with a guy on Counterstrike.
In all seriousness, good for Charles though. What a great guy and wish him the best of luck in his new gig.

They have God given talent and didn't need to learn a lot of the fundamentals.
The really good players that worked hard on their fundamentals make better coaches because they can teach what they learned. The good players that get passes up early in their pro careers switch to coaching at an earlier age and have a better chance to rise to higher coaching levels as they gain more experience.

It would be worth having Peyton Manning coach just to see all the rookie wide receivers sobbing after practice.

I don't know what he'd be like as coach, but we've seen him in interviews. He'd be a friggin' genie on the recruiting trail.

Good to see that Michigan Heisman Winners are desirable in the booth.

How much wood would a WoodChuck chuck if a WoodChuck could chuck wood?
