1. Hopslam
2. Founder's Kentucky Breakfast Stout
3. Two hearted ale
4. GhettoBlaster
5. The summer brew at CJ's Brewing Co... It's like how Oberon USED to be
Thank you for helping confirm what me and a few friends have suspected. What exactly do you think they changed about it? It just tastes thinner and more watered down to me.
Watered down is how I'd describe it too. The way it used to be, Oberon was so orange and hazy with unfiltered goodness that you could hardly see through the glass. Now, it's almost clear and seems over-carbonated. Still good, but not nearly as good as it used to be.
Is it just me or is Oberon entirely overplayed now? For some reason I don't like it nearly as much as I used to. And don't get me started on places that serve it with an orange slice.
1. Bell's Two Hearted IPA
2. Arbor Brewing's Phat Abbott Trippel
3. Short's Pandemonium Pale Ale
4. New Holland's The Poet Oatmeal Stout
5. Short's Huma Lupa Luscious
6. New Holland's Dragon's Milk.
2-5 are pretty much interchangeable to me, depending on mood. Nothing beats Two-Hearted Ale. I've been really into the stuff from Short's lately. Haven't had a single beer of theirs that wasn't fantastical.
