Coverage of Harbaugh at Pebble Beach Pro AM
JH is ignoring the SEC and relaxing at the Pebble Beach pro am this weekend. He was seen on Wed high fiving Bill Murray and Mark Wahlberg on the 7th hole at Pebble. He starts his official round today on 1st tee of Spyglass at 10:01am PT, 1:01 pm ET. Sarah is his caddy.

Harbaugh will be at Pebble on Sat (and possibly Sun), when CBS coverage takes over 3-6pm ET.

I'm not sure how he pulled that off, but he has become my idol in yet another way.

Patrick Reed actually had his wife on the bag for a few years until she got pregnant with their first kid. She was on the bag for his first Tour win.

I think Reed's wife carried the full-size bag, it was funny because it looked almost as big as her.

As does proud Wisconsinite Steve Stricker.

I'm sorry, but "had his wife on the bag" has me rolling. Isn't that how you get the wife pregnant? I'm not really sorry I guess.

I played Pebble about 10 years ago, and they let my wife walk the course for free..

I need to watch that again, it's been too long.

winning a round with a bag of lawn implements...classic!

That's a nod to Lee Trevino I bet, he used to hustle people using a dr. pepper bottle wrapped in tape as a club.

LET'S GO JIM HARBAUGH AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.

...every year. I love the Monterey Bay / Carmel area.

Just saw Jimmy at the 7th hole, guess he's waiting his turn for closest to the hole.
Edit to add. Not sure if what I'm watching wasn't taped yesterday.

Do you have a link to the video?

at the toughest course: Spyglass.

Harbaugh really is a celebrity.
February 11th, 2016 at 2:34 PM ^
Any word if the SEC has put forth a proposal to ban coaches from Golfing in Pro Ams? When do coaches get their FREE TIME!!! Saban doesn't have time for this!
February 11th, 2016 at 3:02 PM ^
Bettencourt is T104 through 6 holes. Coach is helping the team though to T70 but we can't tell what his individual score is.
February 11th, 2016 at 3:58 PM ^
Now, his team is -2 through 7, which is not bad. To qualify for Sunday play, he would need to finish in the top 25 (out of about 156). RIght now, that would be -5, but the guys in the current top 25 have played more holes. And the more you play in this kind of tourney, the better your score should be. Also, note that he is playing Spyglass, the toughest course, which may add a stroke or two to your score on a day like today. The others will need to play Spyglass tomorrow or Sat.

Not so hot for a professional.
February 11th, 2016 at 4:44 PM ^
Those SEC scumbags will probably say Harbaugh puts from the rough.
February 11th, 2016 at 5:42 PM ^
OK but IMO needs at least one birdie in last 3 holes to stay in the race
February 11th, 2016 at 6:22 PM ^
That is tied for 141-146 out of 156 pros. .
February 11th, 2016 at 6:53 PM ^
His pro partner finished +5. I believe that JH did get a net birdie on 18 but his partner bogied the hole.
JH got a bad break not only because of his partner but also being assigned to Spyglass today. Spyglass is the toughest of the 3 courses when the weather is nice like today. But Pebble is tougher when the weather is bad.
Just hope that when Harbaugh plays Pebble on Sat, the weather is good. Then, he could make a move. And most of his opponents have to play Spyglass either Fri or Sat.

Didn't Dustin Johnson have a tweet directed at JH? Wonder if they crossed paths or will cross paths?
DJ will turn tail and run if he see's him!
February 11th, 2016 at 8:16 PM ^
He was disgruntled about JH apparently flipping Alaric Jackson. But I think JH ran out of room for him anyway.

It never sounded like something that Dustin would've said. I always scratched my head on that one. Now I know its because it wasn't him. lol. Thanks for the info.

After the Super Bowl witht the 49ers, Harbaugh also played this tournament. It says a lot about his celebrity that now, as a college coach, he is appearing again.
One thing you can see from the old video below, however, is that he has a pretty good swing.
February 12th, 2016 at 9:23 AM ^
12.17 pm ET at MPCC. MPCC is the easiest of the three courses. It is about 1.2 strokes easier than Pebble or Spyglass from the back tees. So today, JH could make up some ground over the rest of the field. Hopefully, his pro partner, Bettencourt, will play better.
