to play football, not to play trumpet
Is anyone else out there in MGoBlogdom watching the British Open? Some amazing golf being played in this rain-soaked tournament, they're finally getting in the final round of this Golf Major (due to weather delays on Friday, everything was pushed back a day).
Adam Scott just tapped in for a birdie to tie Zach Johnson for the lead at -15, Jordan Spieth, in his attempt at golf's Grand Slam is in a 3-way tie at -14, and several other golfers are within striking range at -10 or better.
Normally, being 5 shots back with half a round to play would all but eliminate anyone that far back, but with the windy, rainy conditions on The Old Course, anything goes. The weather has gotten much worse over the last half-hour, so the final few groups have to now deal with far-less-than-ideal conditions from here on out. The final pair, BTW, is now on the 7th hole.

Dustin Johnson with a 1 stroke lead so far. All of the Heavy Hitters have teed off.
During a stop Monday at the Swing to Cure Diabetes golf outing at the UM Golf Course, hosted by former teammate Rich Hewlett, Harbaugh dropped in fresh off a mission trip to Peru.
After making remarks to the participants during lunch, Harbaugh offered to take questions. Toward the end, a young boy piped up and asked something many Michigan fans likely want answered.
"Can we please beat the Buckeyes this year?" he asked, sparking laughter and applause from the gathering.
Harbaugh handled it smoothly.
"Asking politely isn't going to get it done," Harbaugh said, again drawing laughter.
For those of us old enough to remember the Golden Bear and how awesome he was and still is, he jokingly predicted a hole in one and then went out and did it. Awesome shot from a 75 year old legend.
For those big Hockey fans, the Frozen Four is always an exciting event. This year returns the big-name teams missing from last year's event with BC, North Dakota, and Minnesota all in the tournament.
Right now Union and BC are tied 2-2. Later North Dakota plays Minnesota.
And down in Augusta, Bill Haas leads after one day at -4. Adam Scott, last year's champion, is tied for second at -3 with the champion from two years ago, Bubba Watson, and 2010 British Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen.
And at 7:00 the Michigan Men's gymnastics team has the preliminary round of the NCAA Championship. Michigan should hopefully advance to the final round with ease. It should also be noted that star Sam Mikulak won the Nissen Emery award, given to the best college gymnast. Basically the Heisman of Men's Gymnastics. Results can be found here:

Final round of our championship. Who are you rooting for?
Tiger was my pick before the tournament started but he has struggled this week. Now I am rooting for Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler, or Jason Day -- Aka anyone but Phil.
