Me too. I just read this 247 article interviewing Nauta about his interest in Georgia. http://georgia.247sports.com/Bolt/Five-star-TE-Isaac-Nauta-likes-Kirby-… He has some praise for their staff and explains why they could be a good fit but I don't know, man. He doesn't seem completely sold on them. A lot of projecting how they're going to use Tight Ends but no actual evidence like Harbaugh can point to. He hasn't even met Georgia's Tight Ends Coach in-person. I think Michigan might have reeled him in which would be absolutely huge.

Let me just post this here as I posted in the army thread from last night. Read the expanded quotes that this article has from Nauta. He states the advantage that both Alabama and Georgia could bring and refers to Kirby Smart by his full name. He then refers to Harbaugh as Coach Harbaugh. How Michigan will specifically get him ready to play in the NFL, etc. To me the expanded quotes seem to point to him referring to both Georgia and Alabama in generic, distant terms and his references to Michigan seem more personal and familiar. I don't know about the rest of you who may have played football, but for me i was raised to show deference to God, family, and your football coach and sometimes not in that order. To refer to a possible future coach of you by his full name just seems to show his thinking in regards to that option. Whatever, we'll find out in a few hours. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2605908-5-star-isaac-nauta-breaks-do…

Nauta said:  "Hardest decision of my life."

That's the quote you use when you are about to let people down that are important to you . . . i.e. Georgia friends, family, and fans.

He's made a business decision over an emotional decision.

He's going Blue!

Everyone feels this way if your top talent is leaving your own state. But then again, think about every other state's top talent we take as well.

I also have to believe if we wanted Corley, Reese, Fitzpatrick, etc.. we would have made harder pushes towards UM. Not to say those aren't great prospects. They are for sure but the coaches have decided they want to develop other players instead.

Regarding Reese and Fitzpatrick, we would almost certainly have them in the fold if we really wanted them. They were both slow-played in different ways, and they felt the love elsewhere.

As for Corley, he was not offered until relatively late in the process. Michigan had a lot of ground to make up because Hoke dragged his feet on offering. I disagree that we would have him if we really wanted him, though. He was always going to be a tough pull from other schools, but this staff did/does really want him. They've worked very hard to convince him and those around him to prefer Michigan. It just hasn't happened.

Yeah. Corley was always going to be a tough pull.

I also didn't really say we could've had any of those kids, just that we woud have made a harder attempt at them. Reese was committed and Fitzpatick seemed to be on the verge several times. Corley never returned the love, so we let that ship sail for the most part while still keeping contact.

Although if Gary commits, we will have taken the top talent from New Jersey (Gary), Wisconsin (Bredeson), and Indiana (Peters) in the same year. Close with Illinios (Swenson #2).

I think Corley is very talented. I would probably take him over Crawford based on size, athleticism, etc. I have not heard the greatest things about his attitude and work ethic, so that is a bit of a concern for me. Crawford is a good prospect, too.

Also....Oakland is still in play.  His wife doesn't want to leave the West Coast.  And Harbaugh hates recruiting.  Oh, and what are you drinking?  This has been your "Things that are played out thread", brought to you by the department of redundancy department.

Watch today with ease and a beer as any of these guys committing to M would simply be gravy.

I'm a recruiting nut too but have backed off after what I saw this fall, especially Rudock.

Harbaugh could turn me into a 4 star fellas.

I'm on my way to the game, and I forgot to make one of these. Look I know I'm TV for a group of people in yellow highlighter apparel during the two announcements!

He's in georgas only as a name due to his the packages he sent to both Michigan and UGA. Michigan does not out an athlete name in the system until he completely enrolls. UGA will put his name in the system but nothing else, exactially what is shown if you look. So nothing can be told 100% from this evidence one way or another. Hope this helps clear things up.
