I watched them play against Bama was a version of a run spread, perhaps due to current personnel. But no, it is not a joke. A lot of NFL teams are searching high and low for QBs that are ready to play, day 1. I think we landed Harbaugh at the exact right time because I think QBs are going to be seeking out pro-style programs.

The NFL is a passing spread league at this point ffs.

Yeah, NFL quarterbacks probably aren't going to come out of Rich Rod's program. His offense is nothing like McElwain's though.

The NFL acts like their style of playing was sent down from on high and is unchangeable. That league is an utter joke through and through.

Yeah Marcus Mariota and Blake Bortles are surely sucking dick in the NFL right now...

Also Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, Tyrod Taylor, Derek Carr, Teddy Bridgewater, Johnny Manziel, Alex Smith...

Keep dying on that hill, though.

Well, you said they weren't "getting drafted" and he just gave you a list of a bunch of first rounders. Also, I'm honestly not sure that the spread offense QBs that bust are any worse or more frequent than those coming from pro style offenses.. Look at JaMarcus Russell and Blaine Gabbert...

I thought this as well at first, but I think he just needs a clean start. I read somewhere that he had been away from the team and campus taking classes online this semester and being on campus has been tough for him. I think letting his teammates and other students down at Florida was probably tough on him, and if 2016 went poorly, he might have been the scapegoat for it all. I think he just needs to start over even if he will have to sit out the beginning of 2017. He could still play football at a JC next year and transfer onto an FBS team in midyear, go through spring practice, and be ready for 2017 to play after game 6.

So now he's sitting out a year and a half of football? By the time he's eligible to play at his next stop he won't have played a down in nearly two years.

Seems like he would've been the go to guy at UF next year. Maybe there's some underlying issues but this doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

You are a fucking idiot. Derek Carr, as a rookie, on a 3 win team, threw 21 td's to 12 INTs at 57%... This year, the raiders have doubled their win output, and Carr has thrown something like 29 td's to 8 INTs at 62%. Derek Carr is the BEST young QB in football hands down (Bortels a close second).

This stupid ass joke about the Raiders being awful, or being in play for everyone is beyond old. Please, by all means, continue with your stupidity bc the Raiders are no laughing matter anymore.

the SEC was already really, really bad at QB and over the past week they got so much worse losing two of their best in Kyle Allen and now Grier. Plus big time Kyler Murray.

Can't say i feel bad for them.

Not that it affects this game, but it makes sense given the what he was guilty of and how I expect Florida would handle him under a new administration.
