Come on now. This is internet. People judge. You can't change that. But, if the kid needs time to figure out, why not just do that and not sign up with school after school. I am with you on character assassination, but it is strange. Hope he figures out what he needs. It is sad for many to see talent not being used. Many of us wish we had that kind of talent.

Good luck. It's a tough transition. A lot of my friends had a rough first year. Most ended up staying where they started and were happy. I transferred and was happy I did (Michigan!) Related story: A good friend of mine left a good job to be a stand up comedian. Six months later, I left the same job to be a pastry chef. He gave me some advice: don't evaluate your new situation every day. It's bound to have a lot of ups and downs at the beginning. Wait six months, then evaluate. That gives you a reasonable amount of time to make a well-informed decision about whether you like it or not. It was one of the smartest things anyone ever told me.

My daughter doesn't have any desire to transfer - she loves Michigan. What she can't figure out is her major.

She's meeting with her adviser on Friday to discuss her options. I have a feeling this is probably a pretty standard line of conversation with most undergraduates!

Wasted talent is a terrible thing. The only thing he can really hope for at this point is to land at a school where he can start immediately. He's allowed to go pro 3 years removed from high school, so maybe he still has a chance. If the football thing doesn't work out, hopefully he's able to get an education.

It's sad to see such a talented player wasting his talents away to start his college career. He still has a small chance of getting things figured out and playing at the next level but every day he wastes by deciding what school he wants to play for is gonna make it harder and harder for him to put it all together and reach the next level.

It's close to home and they're such a clusterfuck right now that they'd probably give him whatever he wanted, legal or not, to come there.

He could probably get away with some Caligula level behavior there.

Or, anywhere in the SEC.

Eh, it was a decommitment not leaving school again and it looks like it  may have been driven more by Syracuse waking up and realizing that if they can't get a waiver then they can't get him on the field until 2017.  It's unfortunate timing, but it looks like this time it was more driven by Syracuse saying we need you to look elsewhere.  The guy seems flaky, but this seems benefit of the doubt worthy.

Glad Ohio State missed on this guy as well.  By the time he picks a school and actually sticks with it, he probably won't have any eligibility left.

wonder how many more ways they could tell us we're watching a video on scout.com in that video. Surprised Kahn didn't have it written on his forehead or something.

Yeeesh, honestly for his sake I hope he ends up somewhere just for the sake of his own playing career. Unless he goes the FCS/JUCO route now, he's already lost this year and next year.

I don't mean to rag on the kid. Deciding where you want to spend four years of your life is not easy especially when every school is drooling over you and telling you how badly they need you, but this is why you've got to do your homework. Pick your school because you know in your gut it's the right place to be. He's basically screwed himself out of two years of football because he couldn't make up his mind.

What a fucking idiot. I would of given anything to have his size and been able to play at the highest level. Stop making excuses for him, he's just an idiot plain and simple

Fairly closely with his father many years ago. Nothing unusual that I remember. Just sounds like he needs to sort some things out. From UM's perspective I think the "onward" mantra is in full effect regarding this situation.
