MSU wins: Let the excuses begin

Submitted by StephenRKass on

Michigan State escapes tonight with a win against Rutgers. The excuses will begin, the statements that "all that matters is whether you win."

Actually, MSU winning is the best possible outcome for Michigan. We will beat them when they are undefeated, and this is more of a "quality" win, not that it matters.

I have analyzed my feelings regarding OSU and MSU.

  • OSU is more important, but I respect them more, and hate them less.
  • MSU doesn't matter as much, but I want to destroy and obliterate them, and dislike them more.

I am so looking forward to next week.

You don't need excuses for winning. They are unbeaten and top 5. Stay humble. 6 games and the overwhelming arrogance has arrived. Let's beat a ranked team that actually has a QB that is not a true freshman.

As the resident pessimist and holder of an incredible number of negative MGoPoints, I'd say everyone needs to slow it down. I expect Sparty to play their best game of the season and I'd be fine with a one point win.

will be ready, I don't think we are going to "destroy" them. First, they have a senior QB who is pretty damn good. They also have a pretty damn good D-line. Also, they will not be intimidated of us, they have bullied us for the past 2 seasons. They will pull out all the tricks and plays for this game.

For us, Rudock better be good, he's going to get pressured and has not looked comfortable this season when he's been pressured. I'm hoping Deveon and Drake are healthy, if they aren't playing, we're in trouble.]

MSU reminds me of Lloyds last team, senior QB, talent in spots, coming off a good season...they will be ready to play us.

They will give it their all.

What they aren't used to is us coming into the game with a workable plan of attack and every single one of our guys giving It THEIR all to realize the plan.

They just don't know what's about to hit them.

Jack Allen (their 1st team USAToday All-American 2014 center) was carted off the field last night.

Kodi Keigler (their back-up LT) returned from injury, and also left the game with another injury last night.

Conklin (their starting LT and probable 1st round draft pick) is supposedly coming back next week.

Losing Allen will be a huge blow for MSU, especially how Henry/Glasgow/Hurst have been playing.

I want blood next week.  They can cart the rest of their team off the field as far as I am concerned.  Also, Harbaugh please go for 2 when we are up on them 30-0 in the 4th quarter.
