But was/am? enjoying flying under the rader a little bit.

Some of the comments there were common sensical.  One guy there made a good point that we're all of course aware of - when you play a really good defense and they stack up against the run, we're going to have to get some points through the air.  I was encouraged with what I saw today and I think Jake will continue to improve.  I'm not seeing any long bombs from him, but if we can get Butt and Bunting involved and matched up against LB's 5-15 yards out, that might be the sweet spot.

Yea Im a big Spielman fan. Hes a straight shooter, not one to spin an exaggerated tale or to slant his commentary towards his audience.

Sparty and Ohio are getting downright desperate in thier attempts to downplay what Michigan is doing. One comment actually made me LOL when the poster said we had hit our ceiling and there was no room left for improvement.

My impression is that Spielman is a major B1G homer, and really wants Michigan to be good, so the rivalry is more exciting and meaningful.  He's the guy who wants both teams undefeated going into The Game, because it just makes for better, more compelling football, and makes The Game mean more on a national stage.

Would that be the same Chris Spielman was said last week that Ben Braden was our best player and was the only one who would start for OSU?  That Chris Spielman?

Pardon me if I dont take his evaluations too seriously right at the moment.

would start on OSU's offense and that he was our best offensive player. He wasn't talking about our defense. He might have been wrong, but he wasn't too far off.

He's being consistent, basing his comments on what he's just seen, not our total body of work. We played like a top ten team Saturday. That's not the same as saying that we are or will end the season up there.

Let's see Michigan do to Moo U. and tOSU what they did to BYU first.

Ruddock still stares down his receivers... did it all day yesterday.  RBs are inconsistent.  Oline still needs a lot of work.

I am hopeful however for the future.  We see lots more player development and less hand clapping than a year ago!

1. Call rivals by MLive/RCMB type nicknames?  check

2. Misspell Michigan player name? check

3. Take pot-shot at Michigan players?  check

If you only had mentioned something about Oakland still being in play or that our jersey's were selling like hotcakes in Ohio this would be one for the ages.

Maybe next time.

Pump the brakes Chris.  We still have an anemic passing game and an OL that has yet to hold up against good front sevens.  When we face an excellent D Line like MSU's, I'm not sure where the points are going to come from.  Just keep improving.
