Harbaugh takes off his socks and gives them to Drake Johnson
Apparently at Michigan's Youth Day Drake Johnson didn't have a set of socks like the rest of the players. Harbaugh is seen on this video taking his socks off and giving them to Drake.

Harbaugh: "Here you go Drake, wear these socks."
Johnson: "Thanks, coach. Hey, these socks are just like our O-Line. No holes."

I think this was a subset of the discussion in the Youth Day / team photo threads - August 6th, if I recall the day correctly. However, as the sites which aggregate and/or recycle the news online are prone to do, items which are now 4-5 weeks old are finally hitting their sites and being reposted here, or at least that seems to be why some stories end up back on the blog about a month after their original appearance. Remember, MGoCommunity - you really did hear it here first.

Harbaugh has had Drake practicing his 40 on crutches.
No prissy excuses.

Socks schmocks, the real question is when will Harbaugh pull out his Smith and put in his Johnson?
Wait, um, that might not have come out right... I withdraw that... no, I reinsert it... well.. I'm having a hard time with this... I'm going back and forth on it.... oh fuck it! I think you get the thrust...

When they see you literally take clothes off your body for a player, they know you are in this for them. This will likely not get publicity in the papers, but I hope the recruits see this as another example of the type of man Harbaugh is.

look, i love Harbaugh just as much as the next guy but come on...he gave him his socks. it's not like he gave up a kidney for the kid (although he probably would).

It was something he didn't need to do and few people would probably think to do. It's not an organ donation, but it's another cool thing for him to do.

Between stretchgate and the FFP restrictions thrown on barca, probably ticked about unfair regulation.
Won't go into sending McGary pro before he wanted or O'Bannon keeping us from NCAA 14-##.

It's now up to EA and the conferences to work out a deal.

but you hit the nail on the head. Harbaugh is a man without pretense. You done eff'ed the ineffable.

that it was his socks at issue and not his jock strap.

What was going on when he gave his socks? Team picture?

I think he was wearing socks, but they were the wrong color (it was team picture day).

Coach answered that in an interview this morning on 97.1 during which he said Drake was the only player not wearing football socks, instead he was wearing what coach called tennis socks. To no one's surprise coach is a super detail oriented individual.
