Good luck to him.  He'll be missed.

I do wonder how successful he would have been at a different program all these years that would know how to use him in space.  I was kinda amazed he chose UM over more spread-focused teams when he signed, but he was always a decent returner and, while not a true blazer, could absolutely have been a death merchant on a team with a more dynamic offense.

Although he didn't contribute as much as we would of liked, I always rooted for Fleet and really enjoyed his energy.  Best of luck in your new adventure.

Was born just a few years late, would've been a nightmare for Rich Rod. Never a good fit for what Hoke was trying to do.

I hope he doesn't fall into the the trap of lower expectations, more free time, etc. at Tuskee - it's going to be different, for sure. Go DOMINATE athletically and academically.

Damn. I really liked DN. He's probably my favorite player that played offense and hasn't scored a touchdown.

Good lord some people are dicks. Complaining about what he did on the field because he didn't live up to their standards? He didn't trash the coaches or the school on the way out and what does he get? A big "fuck you" for having a good time on the football field and not returning a kick for a touchdown

First, that article at Today's U was total crap.  It hurt my head just trying to read it.

"...all but suggesting that Norfleet’s career with the Wolverines has run its course."  What does that even mean?

But the thing I'm really confused about is Harvel's quote, stating that Harbaugh isn't giving Norfleet a chance to get his degree.  Seems contrary to Harbaugh's quote from this morning:

On Norfleet: "it's our desire he remain at Michigan." said there's a "plan" in place to get his degree.  — angelique (@chengelis) July 28, 2015

Sounds to me like this saga isn't over yet, but if I'm missing something please help...

Well, that first bit (although oddly worded) basically means, "this is likely to happen but it isn't 100% a done deal yet."

I agree that the second part seemed contradictary.  I think the potential conflict--just a guess--is that Norfleet is welcome to stay at U of M to get his degree, but it'd mean he'd have to transfer next year and possibly sit out a year of football.  The other choice is to transfer right away and play DII ball immediately, but not be able to get his degree from Michigan.

I agree that more will come out in the wash here.  Doesn't seem like this is totally worked out yet.
