Soccer is funny - best 1st half of the tourney (well 1st 30 min) with exception of that exhibition v Cuba and we are down 2. Played like crap in other 1st halves and had 1-0 leads.

Since he returned from Italy he has not been the same player.
I know you and I have differing opinions on him - I thought he was awesome in the GER/HOL games. But he has been a little less than stellar this tournament (but he has scored).
Well I agree he played well in those games but a guy who is below par in tournaments and plays well in friendlies doesnt help us much.
Unfort there is not really a replacement in the system unless Demspey takes over that role. Which is prob not a great fit.
p.s. I don't think he has not played decent tonight.

Down 2 goals and with a yellow on him I'd agree with that as it changes the formation.
You open yourself up to more counterattack but you need 2 goals (min).

Johannsson really needs to learn how to lay the ball off to runners... he seems to miss a lot of cutters when he has the ball
That's my beef with him too. He makes nice moves, nice possession and then when you expect him to find someone with a pass he just keeps his head down and dribbles more. Hope that changes because his possession is good and that's the difficult part. Finding runners is the easy part.
