Michigan cologne in development
Back in the 90s, there was a Michigan cologne. You'll maybe remember it from the Fab Five film-
Don't know if anyone on here had it, but if you did, share what it smelt like.
I tweeted MDen the photos and MDen-Victors Collection replied back and it looks like it will be making a return!
@umichWD We are working on finding a fragrance for both men and women. Stay tuned. #GoBlue

Michigan had a yankee candle (thread) that came out last year and the scent was Berrylicious.
What should these fragrances smell like?
Obviously the key is to do what makes you feel good, but even knowing the little bit I do about the science behind fragrance, picking one based on a block M on the bottle is most likely a terrible idea from that perspective.
Edit: I'd bet the thread title is factually false. They'll contract with someone for an existing perfume, and it might even be a scent that has been licensed for another brand at some point.

"We are working on finding a fragrance for both men and women. "
Why? Can't men have men things and women have women things? This "equality in EVERYTHING" movement is going too far. I saw one of those Boys AND Girls bathrooms the other day.
The men's should smell like Bo's office and the women's should smell like something prettier.
Ignoring the gender role stuff, I think you're reading it wrong and they're looking for a deal that includes perfume and cologne (back to the gender stuff, that's also not a great delineation).
Permitting terrible threads by ignoring them is not a good way to maintain high standards.
I think folks are discussing how this discussion sucks ass...
So you would rather have another Nike/apparel/alligator eating/jorts/favorite & least favorite [insert name] threads vs. this topic?
Just so long as I never see a Michigan fragrance caught up this sort of sale....
....I really don't have a strong opinion on the subject.
Walgreens carrys the same stuff, but at a better price. +1
but I really prefer the candles instead....

Victor's Collection specializes in this kind of stuff. Michigan signed deals with Dockers and Ralph Lauren so they sell a lot of polos at MDen-Victors Collection.
I wouldn't be surprised to see individual coaches have their own fragrance. It's an industry that thrives on licensing.

I think it's fair to say he educates a big chunk of the diehard fanbase on miscellaneous sports, apparel activities, and 'etc' like this cologne.
and 35-year old losers.
What did it smell like?
The michigan cologne - I don't have a clear memory of what it smelled like. Kinda perfume-y in a vague way. Generic and mediocre.

better than a Nike thread, not by much though.
