We all keep reading so much into Harbaugh's moves as if every single decision is strategic.

But isn't a hallmark of people like Harbaugh (intense genius types) a single mindedness to almost the exclusion of everything else?  I mean, I think there was an article out there that the reason people like Harbaugh, Steve Jobs, etc. wear/wore the same thing each day was becasue they didn't have to spend the mental energy thinking about it.

Isn't it possible soembody just threw him some gear and said "here, wear this" and he just did it?

He just doesn't strike me as a guy who spends a lot of his day strategizing what outfits to wear.

Every time I think our long regional nightmare is done with respect to apparel, they keep pulling me back in.

This place will be a ghost town in two weeks when Michigan signs with Nike or Adidas and all of the Nike zealots move on to, I don't know, Women's World Cup uniforms.

Are there any rules limiting what brand of clothing a coach must wear when you have a contract such as Michigan's?  Even for an event like this would the rules apply?

In my experience with playing under an Adidas contract, yes! Our athletic dept would punish anyone who wore anything Nike anywhere. Don't care of you have an Adidas jump suit on, the Nike wrist band would be a big problem. Doesn't matter if you are working out in the stadium and it's the summer and nobody is around. If you have a Nike bag on the sideline you are in trouble. Adidas contract to us meant only Adidas and always Adidas. Obviously we don't know what is being worked out with M today but I doubt it's too different.

That no one has been monitoring Caris Levert or Derek Walton off the court then. If you look at their Instagram accounts they both wear a lot of Jordans and KD's.

Can't wait to see those on the floor again for Michigan players instead of this adidas trash. Adidas has some good trainers and the boost running shoes are cool but the basketball just looks like garbage. (I do like the DRose's from this year but it was rare for a UM player to wear them)

Switching to adidas was probably one of the biggest mistakes Michigan ever made.  Not to mention the alternate uniforms were pretty awful.
