There are always growing

There are always growing pains with new coaches eg. Ohio State's massively underperforming offense.  I think the easier part of this is that Durkin was only there one season so it should make it a bit easier.

As an OSU fan, I expected

As an OSU fan, I expected them to drop in the rankings with some of the lackluster performances last season and was rather shocked when it took awhile for that to happen.  One of the problems of polling early on is that all you have as a frame of reference is the previous season.  I really wish polls didn't come out until week 4.

Putting them at 3 right now

Putting them at 3 right now seems reasonable.  The defense will probably be top 5 in the country and if they can get the QB position locked down, gonna be tough to beat.

Stipulations such as this are

Stipulations such as this are not acceptable.  I'd wear my team gear under a jacket on the way in and then bust out the colors as soon as I got to the seats.

As far as ettiquette, it may be best to err on the side of caution since you're sitting behind their bench.

I'm still pretty amazed at

I'm still pretty amazed at his speed for his size.  Quick hands, too.  I think you'll see him on the edge in obvious passing situations.

So I'm only assuming that

So I'm only assuming that Harbaugh on the radio is a million times better than hearing Hoke say "uhm" a thousand times.

I was wondering how long it

I was wondering how long it would take for that one.  Bad habit, I suppose.

Damn.  I forgot about SEC

Damn.  I forgot about SEC because, well, SEC.

Not a fan at all of Mike and

Not a fan at all of Mike and Mike or really any national radio show.  It seems that the national pundits only care about NFL football and I honestly could care less about it.

I'm still waiting to trade my

I'm still waiting to trade my Focus ST in for a flying car.

I'll be shocked if Gary

I'll be shocked if Gary starts in week 1.  I'll also be shocked if he isn't starting by week 8.

I really don't feel bad about

I really don't feel bad about my ability to think.  Thank you for your terrible point about my awful posts.  I'll take note for next time...

He's certainly unorthodox.

He's certainly unorthodox.  Whatever works, I guess.

I almost feel the same way

I almost feel the same way about Alabama to some extent.  I just don't understand how they get the talent to pour in down there.  Saban wasn't exactly the best recruiter as MSU and to some degree LSU so I scratch my head at times when it comes to Bama.

But you're definitely right, there came a point, and it was really with Reggie Bush, where everyone pretty much knew.

I honestly worried that this

I honestly worried that this past season might have been the straw to break the camel's back as far as Meyer is concerned.  With all of the lofty expectations and media pressure it was easy to assume that it might have been too much.  After all of that though, I assume Meyer has a least a few more years left at OSU.  Maybe another 10 year war?

Yeah, probably a poor

Yeah, probably a poor camparison.  There was a point before all of the NCAA investigation where one could assume he'd stay a lot longer than he did.

I can see everyone is in a

I can see everyone is in a welcoming mood this morning.

The prior history is

The prior history is definitely a factor but Carrol was also in the NFL prior to going to USC.  I honestly think things with Harbaugh could go either way.  I personally don't think he will be there for more than 4 years but I wouldn't be very surprised if i was wrong.

UM will have a good defense

UM will have a good defense this season, that much is certain. QB is going to be a concern, obviously.  There's a lot of experience there but not as much big game experience as you'd like to see.  The B1G East should be a solid race this season.

I think getting demolished in

I think getting demolished in the CFP hurt them more than it helped them just by getting there.

OSU might have a tough year.

OSU might have a tough year.  It helps that Barrett is coming back and they have some difficult tests along the way.  They'll be young and when young teams get confidence great things can happen.

Yeah.  No one thought Pete

Yeah.  No one thought Pete Carrol would leave USC, either.

He's obviously not going to

He's obviously not going to go after 1 season.  Maybe the god complex is enough for him, who knows.

If you're suggesting that UM

If you're suggesting that UM wins the next 3 B1G titles, OSU and Sparty would like a word.

I just can't see him staying

I just can't see him staying there for more than 4 years.  Eventually the NFL will come calling and he'll answer.

The fact that there aren't

The fact that there aren't written rules about it is why we can't really complain all that much.  If coaches wanna get rid of a dude and he does have some sort of injury problem, then so be it.

Until rules are in place to mitigate the issue this will continue to happen.

Considering that team

Considering that team trainers aren't allowed to examine players untl they arrive, how would Meyer, or anyone for that matter, know the severity of his injuries?

From an injury perspective,

From an injury perspective, it was probably right to keep him off the field.  I think it was the handling of it.  They told him first that he would be fine and then renegged.

I'm also not understanding how he would still count against the 85 if he has medical hardship.  They normally come right off the books once that happens.

But didn't they also say it

But didn't they also say it wouldn't be an issue?  At least that's what Pipkins is saying.

So it's ok as long as it's to

So it's ok as long as it's to win?

What about when Urban Meyer medically disqualifies a player, a highly recruited player that he recruited?  Is that wrong?

Pipkins was also a pretty decent player and I'm not really sure who is that much better.  None of this makes sense.

Do we really believe Harbaugh

Do we really believe Harbaugh wouldn't do this?  Is it coincidence that this also comes out a day or two after the piece on his Stanford recruiting classes.

Michigan is just like OSU and Bama and LSU.  Big time football programs do this all of the time and it's not going to end until they put rules with penalties in place for doing such things.

His demeanor also can have

His demeanor also can have negative effect on some young players.  A lot of kids that are 18 probably think he's crazy.  Some are put off by it and some are drawn to it.  Either way, he's probably going to get guys that are drawn to it and maybe respond the way he wants.

Switching to adidas was

Switching to adidas was probably one of the biggest mistakes Michigan ever made.  Not to mention the alternate uniforms were pretty awful.

If you ain't first, you're

If you ain't first, you're last in the defensive line world.
