Often on speaking terms...But it's awfully difficult to make that assertion with respect to the B10...There were some long and inglorious stretches for the league back when it was termed the Big 2 and the little 8.

All of that said, you're a funny guy...

Yet when MSU gets humilaited at home against a team their coach guranteed a win against and in the process blew Big Ten title, playoff and National Title Hopes, that is something to be proud of?

Not to mention not even playing regular season games against Ohio State in their "great" years.

Harbaugh acknowledged what many Michigan fans on here refuse to accept. Sparty is the dominant program instate right now. Let's hope that changes ASAP.

There is more to sell and Harbaugh has no excuses to make but he seems to be throwing from his back foot here.

Wins and a lot of work make this go away.  Good to see him out making contact.

Don't ever doubt his brilliance and passion. He took this job for one reason: restore Michigan to the feared program it was under Bo. Period. He has launched many missiles in 6 months and will launch many more. But what I love most about him is his frank answers to questions. It leaves the discussion nowhere to go. Albeit, he could have said nothing, I believe his approach will fire up the team and give false comfort to our foe. Brief, bright, and done. A master at work.

I went over to RCMB to see their reactions. They are acting as if Harbaugh has already failed and is trying to pick up the pieces....which....yeah.

My favorite comment, though, is about how they think this is making us super frustrated and angry because of our superiority complex. I don't know about everyone else here, but I LOVE what he's saying, and it is fully consistent with what he has been saying all along. Michigan cannot be considered the top football program in the B1G until we start winning. NOTHING else matter. As he told the one young fan, "asking politely" won't be enough to beat OSU.

Harbaugh is bringing a "you need to earn every inch" mentality to Michigan. It's exactly what we have been needing.

Also, every time I go to RCMB, I gain new appreciation for MGoBlog. Grammar and spelling FTW.

Hole seemed to believe that michigan would win simply because of our history and tradition.

Harbaugh's knows that that doesn't matter now and that hard work will win games. He's also doing a great job of making Michigan the scrappy underdogs that you want to root for in family movies.

Courtney's undeniably a sloppy mess, but really did put out a couple of good albums.  I'm partial to Celebrity Skin, but they had a few other strong outings.

But yeah - Courtney's liable to give a speech that would make MSC's outing seem like brilliant oratory.  So I'm with Rhino77 here.

I would have liked him to talk about not just getting to their level, but exceeding it, that's the ultimate goal here, to win a National Title.  Still, I think it was a smart thing to do to reset the narrative, we were being mocked by a lot of people under Hoke for the "We're Michigan" stuff and it rang pretty hollow seeing as we're 20-18 the last 3 seasons without a Bowl win.

I do think this was calculated.  And I also think there was a little bit of trying to temper expectations in it too, it's not a 1 year project to get to MSU's level, especially given that we desparately need playmakers on this team.

Sparty LIVES off the inferiority/superiority narrative.  Coach just completely undermined it.  Dantonio cannot go into a kid's home and say "We're the better team and they still don't respect us."  The kid can said "But he said..."  So if it's a kid that can critically think, there is an argeument lost.

He also drove home the point about what the relationship is between UM and Detroit.  He could easily have went into the history, how without Detroit and Detroiters there is no University of Michigan.  There is a relationship there.  Coach said Michigan is there for Detroit, and he needs their help.

I love me some Harbaugh.
