OT: Name of the Year 2015

Rejoice, MGoBloggers. The Name of the Year 2015 bracket is out!

I am proud to say that two of my nominees made it into this year's field: Mussolini Africano and Charity Sunshine Tilleman-Dick. While I have no way of knowing whether it was my nomination that got them in, I'm going to pretend it was because doing so makes me happy. I love NOTY very much, and 2015 has got a really deep field.

Early favorites include Manmeet Colon, Flavious Coffee, Understanding Bush, Reverend Pierrebatista Pizzaballa, and Infinite Grover. But you've got to let these things marinate, I'm sure that when it's all said and done my favorite name will have shifted.

A few years ago, I found out that a former employee of my then-employer had the name "Neptune Pringle III." I emailed it as a suggestion and he made it to the final four. I was so proud.
