MGoAwards update
Just wanted to remind everyone to vote for the 1st MGoAwards. The response so far has been underwhelming (only 4 responses).

King of Belch was nominated as comback poster of the year.
Considering that he has now been banned, should he be disqualified?
I'm leaning toward yes, unless someone can convince me otherwise.

i nominate Gerald R Ford - no idea how he went into MgoPointDebt but he's been bringing it strong since.

Seems that most people 'round here enjoy the anonymity of it all-- we can post whatever we want without disclosing names, emails, etc. without any repercussions outside of mgopoints, banhammers, or the insufferable plight known as BLOG SHAME.
So when I saw you asking people to email you, I couldn't help but wonder if that would backfire, asking people to expose their own personal emails for the greater good of MGoBlog.
I'd consider going the poll route-- there's a lot of good poll generators out there that are very easy to use, and I know Misopogon, myself and others have used them with great success here in the past. And if you do, I'd suggest not giving readers the option to see current results-- it makes your final winner announcement anticlimactic and also can sway readers to cast the underdog vote.
Good luck and hope it works out for you.

Second all this. Asking for actual emails is anachronistic and more work for you. Simply set up a poll on survey monkey or a similar site for free. Letting people see ongoing results is very appealing to those who are considering taking any poll.

That thought crossed my mind, but I'm not familiar with setting up online polls. The (limited) research I did, I didn't notice how to not show results. Maybe I should play around with some sites, and see what I can set up. Any suggestions on sites?

I'm going to completely skew the results by having voted!! I'm 25%!!!!

I know the opportunity has passed but if the voting structure is changed would it be too late to nominate 'Blue in Yarmouth' for the best commenter category? Our resident (I guess one of our resident) Canuck is way too friendly to not get at least a nod.

Thanks for noticing there are more of us. ;)
Seriously, I second this as well. Blue in Yarmouth is always one commenter I always take note of.
