Things look iffy for the hockey game tonight

Sorry, I'm on mobile but tweets from a balmy 48 degree Chicago indicate that it's 50/50 on Michigan playing tonight. Another rumor from yost built says that a fuse blew and they can't freeze the ice. Either way the start time is now 8:40 EST if they even play at all. Edit: it's 9:40 EST, not 8:40

When you do something like this every ten years it's novel and people (like me) fly in for it. I was there for The Cold War and The Big Chill. But, kind of like the current too-many-bowl-games situation, when they play these outdoor games every year, they aren't exciting or travel-worthy.

Sparty students are on break (break from what I am not sure) during the March 13 game so it is a great time to maize out Biggie Munn.  I am going with a group of mostly Michigan people.  We're in Section J-K in the corner opposite the STAEE student section and band.  They are running the group rate for Michigan which they usually don't.  It is only $10 a ticket for a group of 15 or more.

I don't want this game to happen tonight. It's too damn late and the shitty ice isn't helping us.

We lose a home game with home ice advantage to play outside on slow ice, which in my opinion gives State an advantage over our boys. I hate this situation. We better take it to them this game or George is getting upset.

What a joke, there are less people there for this game than the early one.  I think the bad ice will favor Michigan, get pucks on the net and good things will happen.  I could see them approaching double digits again.

I honestly wouldn't mind an NCAA rule banning neutral site regular games these days (grandfather in preseason basketball tournaments, the Red River Rivalry, and the GLI/Beanpot). No one wants to see Wisconsin/LSU at Megacorp Stadium in Houston, no one wants to see this game at Soldier Field.

Getting stomped aside, the Jerryworld game was admittedly better than another game against Directional Michigan, but no where near as much fun as a game in AA or Tuscaloosa.
