That is all.

It looked like for the thrid time, Pats would lose due to a candidate for catch of the year. The flip side...the Pats and Brady are two RIDICULOUS catches (one by a Wolverine) from 6 SB wins.
Manningham's was great footwork and an absolute dime by Eli, Kearse's catch still didn't match Beckham's this year though the stage adds to the granduer, and Tyree's was just sick.
Amazing game.

It almost looked like New Englad was going to lose because of the "defenseless receiver" rule. The defender jumped over Kearse rather than hit him, likely for not wanting to cheap-shot a defenseless receiver on the ground and get a penalty. I wonder if that play might lead to some nasty hits next year by players not wanting to be on the receiving end of plays like that. Also, if he had hit Kearse while Kearse was lying down (and the ball was live) would he have been penalized?

Well, if he had presence of mind to know that the ball was still live, he could have easily deflected the ball away without having to hit the receiver.

The guy who jumped over Kearse was clearly in position to make sure it wasn't caught but was equally clearly trying not to do something to hurt someone in a defenseless position. That whole play was making me feel bad for the Patriots until divine justice intervened in the form of perhaps the dumbest play call I have ever seen coupled with a really good defensive play.
It was interesting how the reporter was trying to get Belicheck to say it was a bad play call and how effective he sidestepped it.

Fun fact: Since August of 2013, no QB has passed for more than 2 TDs against the Seattle Seahawks. Tom Brady threw for 4 TDs tonight to 4 different receivers.

Can you imagine if he had a receiver like Calvin Johnson or Dez Bryant? The one year he had Moss(before Randy broke down), they basically shattered every record.

Last year everyone was slagging the Patriots and Belichick especially for their poor receiving corps, saying there's no deep threat or really any athleticism anywhere, and then this year Brady shreds the Legion of Boom with the same corps to win a title.
