That wasn't meant to be taken 100% literally, I tried to edit to make it sound less so but you replied before I could. But that was straight-up gutless.

is anything but gutless.

He also had a bad sequence at the end of the 1st half. We're looking for a coach who can beat Urban and Dantonio not go 9-3 every year. Which is why we should go after Miles/Stoops/Mullen.

Welp, I picked BYU, but that was kind of poetic justice. Try to ice the kicker on an extra point and then later he hits a 55-yarder. Hoke-level.

But Mendenhall's name is a big surprise, especially given that he could have elected to remain confidential, but chose not to. Without any historical ties to the midwest or the Big Ten, a move to Wisconsin would have been a major surprise.
It would have been interesting to see who Mendenhall brought with him from BYU in such a scenario. Robert Anae as an OC in the Big Ten could have been an intriguing proposition on paper anyway. It would have been a major shock though, I would have to agree.

in Wisconsin then he's probably shown interest in Michigan. He's probably on 'the list' somewhere.
Great coach

I looked at Patterson Whittingham and Bronco in depth the past few montsh and I'd put Patterson as an A hire, Whittingham as a B+ and Bronco as a B-.
That said he will probably come in next year and do some damage with his QB but when head to head vs Patterson and Whittingham he usually lagged. TCU I can kind of get but BYU had way more brand then the pre Pac 12 Utah and he still struggled.
He is a solid coach - nothing out of this world IMO.
Specific to Wisconsin, interviewing someone and offering the job are 2 diff things. After their experience with Andersen I am sure they were gun shy with bringing another Mormon out of Utah.
