Its Friday, a bye week and the weather sucks. Im keeping it simple tonight. Samuel Adams Octoberfest. I know its November, but WTF !

You bought a 5 month old triple IPA. I wouldn't recommend that either. Try it when it comes out in June and it might change your opinion.

An IPA that big will actually age well. It essentially will turn into a barleywine with some age.

I have the 2013 release in my cellar so I will reserve my judgement until I crack one open. I've heard mixed reviews on how it ages but I know first hand that when fresh it is delicious. In fact, for science, I will go grab one and report back.

Good choice. A colleague of mine and I were at Tomukun today for Pho.

You know, come to think of it, if we were to try to entice Bob Stoops to make the move from the OKC area (assuming JH says no) we might tell him about Tomukun. OKC has a very large number of Vietnamese places (who knew?) and if he's a fan, I'll pitch in for the lifetime supply of gift cards.

I am sipping on some Blue Moon while I catch up on modding and attempting to at least listen to "Constantine" on NBC. I will say, it will be nice to be able to just sit back and watch games tomorrow and not worry about what happens when your team is up and you feel compelled to watch. That, and I am too depressed by the weather to contemplate leaving the house for much more than actually purchasing the turkeys for Thanksgiving.

Firestone brews have gotten very good over the last five years or so (I am surpised, as I am not a fan of the family's wines, but I think they are separately managed). Are you in California?

Carmel HS, where I work, just played their way to the IN state 6A Championship game at Lucas Oil for the 2nd year in a row! 13-0 on the season... normally I don't follow them so closely but with UM's less than stellar season and the bye weekend, I was pretty pumped tonight! Go Hounds!
