Where is JamieMac? Snowflakes
I'd like to point out the fact that Michigan covered the spread tonight. Please use this thread to predict the Penn State spread that will open soon. My opening guess: MICH +6.5

Opens at Mich +6.5. Game time it is Mich +9.5.

Maybe a good time to bet on Michigan?
Ah hell we've been saying that every week for a year now. "Us against the world" blah blah blah

If the line somehow gets over 10 id bet on Michigan. Penn State is very similar to us, in having a bad offense and a good defense. Neither team has it in them to win by a lot.

Yeah, for sure. It would be the rational choice.
But then Hackenburg's impending arrival at the Big House has me bursting into tears when I recall the irrational ways in which much less talented players like Gary Nova tend to perform against us.

They are different, they lose in blue instead of white.

Well, Michigan's precipitous drop in the Sagarin rankings makes predicting a preliminary line something of a disconcerting exercise right now, but here we go:
45) Penn State - 75.12
80) Michigan - 66.66
So, 75.12-66.66 is 8.46, then subtract the 3.44 for HFA to get 5.02 for a predicted margin of victory for, well, Penn State. I bet the opening line is in this neighborhood, at least at a few outlets.

In the first half, probably. He'll get pulled to rest up for a real contest.

It sucks when you get beat by a performer like this
That's Jerry Rice, Steve Young, and John Elway as the backup singers.

I dont want to start yet anotherr post on the subject but did anybody notice just how HORRIBLE our alleged "jam" technique was all night long? I was under the misguided impression that press coverage meant engaging the WR at the LOS to knock them off their route and blow up the timing of the route.
It's not.
Apparently it means getting up to the LOS and then running after the WR after you fail to lay a finger on them as they get a free release. Damn right slant routes will be open as will post routes, dig routes, out routes and generally any and all routes. Gee I guess the idea of giving somebody coaching responsibility over a position group he'd never coached before wasnt such a good idea after all. Go figure.

Penn State did get bombed by NW - but so did Wisky. The Dark Side clouds my vision on this one
