Saturday Noon Game Thread

Submitted by alum96 on

This is an awful slate of games - I am mostly watching West Virginia v Maryland.  OSU v Kent State is really the only other one of any basic interest.

I thought this line on WVA v Maryland was strange (3) when they held in very well versus Alabama and Maryland looked like... well a Big 10 team, thus far.  West Virginia's WRs were awful vs Bama - if they could catch the ball they might have won the game.  If this was in Morgantown I'd take WVA by 17 or so.

Sounds like Maryland has benched its QB and is on QB #2.  Not sure those NFL WRs at Maryland are going to have a chance to showcase their wares this year the way things are going.

Lousivlle currently trailing Virginia.  The ACC looks to have the most unbalanced divisions of the power 5 conferences.  FSU, Clemson, and Louisville all in the same division.

Wyoming plays @MSU and @Oregon back to back.  If he puts respectable performances up in year 1 after what he did at his previous spot a lot of schools will come calling.  And if we dont turn it around we should be one of them.  Lets see how this works out, Oregon could just be in hangover mode.  Wyoming was 5-7 last year - guy could be good but if he keeps this within 21 it would be a miracle.

I will say that you don't often see pass interference calls which basically look like a 10-yard attempt at pantsing the receiver, but as Maryland's secondary has, for the most part, shown as much ability to stop a play as the drizzle in College Park, I am guessing they'll take what they can get here.

I'm still not used to this watching-Maryland-on-BTN thing. Or seeing Classic College Football on the TV listings and having it be Rutgers playing in the Papa John's Bowl or some such thing.

This shit is bonkers.

With all the talk of the Big10's playoff chances being low and they are, the ACC is basically FSU and that's it.  VT and Louisville both look to be going down today.
