OT-Lebron James returns to Cleveland
I just heard a report on TV that Lebron is returning to Cleveland. He made a statement to Sports Illustrated.
So how is Dan Gilbert going to explain this after that delicious Comic Sans bit o' fun he posted when LeBron left?
Update:
I put down a $100 deposit for a partial season ticket plan about 10 minutes after the announcement. In the four hours since then the Cavs have raised the amount you have to put down to $200 to hold a place in line.
Phone lines for tickets are jammed and there's a crowd around Quicken Arena yelling, chanting and generally going nuts.
What a difference a day (and LeBron's second decision) makes.
You sure spend a lot of time on this board posting about your buying (or not buying) season tickets for various sports teams.
Everybody needs a hobby.
Why?
Bosh, Howard, Parsons, Harden, Beverly (4,5,3,2,1)
With Lin going to Lakers you can keep Parsons too.
I always thought the criticism of Lebron going to Miami was unfair and just plain dumb from Cleveland fans (excluding the announcement that obnoxious coming out party with Dwade and CB). Understand it was magical for Cleveland to win the lottery pick which selected him and it'd be a cute story if he played in Cleveland forever. But is every pro basketball player expected to play for the team closested to where they grew up? Apparently only Lebron is. Like in any other job or profession you weigh your options and pursue the best opportunity. At that time, Lebron would have been stupid to pass up the opportunity to play with other elite players immediately. It's his career.
White Kid From Catholic School
Can it not be a story of a city scorned that forgave and of a player scorned that forgave and returned home to solidify his legacy? Instead it has to be bitch ass dude is a pussy?
Motherfucka, What the fuck?
Bosh. 1:00

That's freaking perfect. Actually am laughing out loud.
How about borrowed?
Edit: The muthafucka, what the fuck was all me though.
You don't think the NBA makes money on it's best player? Regardless of where he goes? People all over the world will be buying Cavs jerseys.
Lebron and Gilbert. 2 Asshats that deserve each other.
Lebron James is quickly solidifying his position as one of the most influential athletes of all time. He’s an ambassador to the world’s greatest game. He’s a rock solid citizen, class act, family man, hall of famer, entrepenuer, mogul, etc. What an inspiration to witness this living legend's career.
He's one of the greatest basketball players ever but all this entrepeneur, mogul, rock solid citizen, etc. doesn't strike me as things LeBron is particularly noteworthy for
I guess that's something noteable.
World's greatest game?
IMO, i think that distinction belongs to football and soccer.
Football is the "world's greatest game" if by "world" you mean "The United States" because no one really cares outside the US. Basketball is far more popular around the world than football. The NBA has something like 450 million fans in China, which is probably more fans than the NFL has period. I also remember reading that amongst teenagers around the world, basketball is now their favorite sport, surpassing soccer.
No.
The NBA absolutely smashes the NHL in ratings.

I can't remember the last time I watched an NBA game. I swore off the NBA after the stones were boned by Shaq and the heat in the eastern conference finals. I saw game 3 from the rafters at the palace.
If the Cavs get Love, I think they will be the favorites in the East, regardless of where Melo goes. I'm still not sure it's enough to beat the Spurs who I think will have the same roster.
I think it's some kind of sex doll.
