OT- RIP, Ann B. Davis, Alice from Brady Bunch

There was a campus band called "Ann B. Davis" when I was at U-M back in the late 80's-early 90's. In any case, RIP, Alice.
This is very tragic indeed considering she was, by most accounts in otherwise good health for someone all of 88 years old. As I recall from reading, her degrees in drama and speech from Michigan are a far cry from what she originally came to Ann Arbor to ostensibly be - she was originally a pre-med student. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Emmys four times and won twice, although not for her work on "The Brady Bunch".
RIP to an accomplished entertainer and a Michigan alum.
The band was actually Ann Be Davis. I think my brother was in it, though he may have just been friends with people who were. I was too young to really know. But my niece has a t-shirt.
You are correct - it was "Ann Be Davis." I was friends with the crowd around them for a bit.
Were you friends with my brother, Shaun, nicknamed Honey T?
That's so cool. I never think about how there may be real life connections to people inside the computer.
I knew Ray.
Don't ask me how I know this but the guitar player may or may not be a sociology professor at Boston University.
The namesake of Michigan's pop culture quiz bowl tournament from 1995-2007. A real shame (and subdural hematomas are one of my greatest fears. Not even kidding.)
You're afraid of getting a subdural hematoma? My strong advice is to stay away from Glenn Winston, who seems to be a vector of such things.
Pourin out a 40 tonight for Alice. Respect.
Butchers named "Sam" everywhere mourn your passing.
88 years old, hard to believe until one realizes how long ago Marcia had her nose broken by that football.
RIP Ann!
...And isn't this completely on topic since we're talking about a Michigan grad?
I'll admit it. I was a HUGE Brady Bunch fan. When I was little, I would watch the reruns of the show on TBS. When I was 6, I told my mom I wanted to leave home and move in with the Bradys. She had to break the news to me that the Brady kids were all grown up, so was there really any point?
Years later, when I found out Ann B. Davis went to Michigan, I thought that was so awesome. Hopefully she went to the Big House some time her senior year and saw the Mad Magicians play.
Saw Ann B. Davis several times during my years in AA.
RIP Ann, you are missed.
Somewhere Sam is slippin Alice the big salami.... RIP.
Like Sam the butcher bringing Alice the meat
Like Fred Flintstone driving around with bald feet

RIP, Alice, er, Ann
she very may well have been at Michigan at the same time as my dad was, who passed away at 90 yrs old a year ago. He missed a couple years in the middle due to WWII and being on a destroyer in the Pacific, so the timing could have worked out. Gee, I wonder if Alice could have been my mom in some alternate universe? I'd probably be 400 pounds by now with her good cooking...
Death of famous U of M alumnus....not OT?
Alice did all the work and solved all the problems. I guess she got it on with Greg. Greg must have been nuts with Marcia in the house...
When I lived on Church st., across from the Dennison Bldg, we used to tell people that Ann B. Davis had lived in that house. Of course we also told people that Madonna had lived there.
