Hernandez is already being held without bail after pleading not guilty to murder in the unrelated death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd last year.
In the 2012 case, victims Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado were shot as they sat in a car in Boston's South End on July 16. Police have said they were shot by someone who drove up alongside in an SUV and opened fire. Boston police have written in an affidavit there is probable cause to believe Hernandez was driving a vehicle used in the shooting and "may have been the shooter.'

And his victims' families could file civil suits for wrongful death, try to obtain a money judgement and have that sitting out there to garnish any proceeds. Not a fun or cheap way to go about it but that's what the Goldman family did to OJ. Unfortunately, OJ lives in Florida, a state that has pretty strong protections for some assets against money judgements.
I could be wrong (and probably am) I thought I heard when the first murder came up, even if he got cleared of everything, he could have lost all nearlly his $$$ from attorney fees/court costs/everything.
No matter what happens, he isn't ever playing another down in the NFL.
Ray Lewis did.
But,otoh, that's why prison are built...for those who refuse/don't/can't comply with civil society laws. Cricle of truth can't help him now...
Scum.
I remember Ray Caruth's thing too, that was pure scum at it's finest. How he's only getting out in 2018 (somewhere near that time) is beyond me.
is his projected release date, if he doesn't get out then he does another 6 years...
I think he was in some altercation with the two guys at a nightclub before the shooting. I believe the story is that his "friend" he supposedly murdered in 2013 was probably in the car with him the night of the first 2 murders and had started to talk about the incident, hence, he had to go bye bye as well.
Nailed it.
So basically he murdered 2 people and then helped me win my fantasy football season? I will not be relinquishing my trophy.
Man, this situation has been dragging on for what feels like years.
It was clear pretty early on that he was involved, and I'm sure we'll learn more as the trial commences.
This guy deserves whatever happens to him. He was set for life, and now he'll never have another breath of free air ever again.
