Honestly, the starters and first off the bench type guys looked ok. Not ready, but standard 15 practices in type issues. Actually Glasgow actually looked the worst of the starters, but he spent most of the day at RT, so not too surprising. No one got put on skates like last year, everyone looked like they knew where to go. There were a couple pass offs in protection that got screwed up, and slants were still tripping up combo blocks but those sort of things fall firmly under "gelling" which takes time for any team.
Back ups were just awful, not sure what they see in Cole but he was clearly not ready . Really no one that wasn't one of the 6 or 7 guys we already knew about really emerged. LTT, Dawson, Bars all looked very raw. EDIT: I forgot about Kugler. He actually looked very good, better than Miller in fact.
The O needs work, but it was NOT that bad. Everyone is acting like te UConn game just happened.
PTSD.
I posted with the UConn game in watch. I thought it was a funny reference and figured others would as well.
It's April, so nothing really counts, but my impression is that the offense is not very efficient, and that today it made the defense look better than it is.
I get it, they're learning a new system. That's not unexpected. Still, this team looks like it would be easily taken apart by a truly good football team, even at this stage of the year.
Aside from the O-line and unimpressive run game, the quarterback play looked marginal. I sure hope that they can get a lot better by Fall, but as of now, these guys are not going to win on the road against the good teams, and might even have trouble at home.
8 wins at best. 7 more likely.
0-0 until the season starts
^^there it is. haven't watched it so I don't know if he addresses Dymonte or not.
