Arizona and Dayton currently at the half. Dayton down 7 but really made a run at the end of the first half.

Gonzaga and Kansas is the next game up. Go Zags

I wonder how much longer Izzo will coach? This was supposed to be one of his best teams in a long time and they did not come anywhere close to expectations.

It’s really hard to comprehend that Izzo has been to the NCAA tournament 26 years in a row.  He’s never had a season as bad as either of Howard’s last 2 years. How is that even possible?

This is the 6th time Izzo had a 19-14 team accepted into the tournament.  It could be strongly argued that none of those MSU teams deserved to be in the dance and should have gone to the NIT.  So the 26 year streak is kind of a joke.  If you gave those exact resumes to a different squad, they wouldn’t have been accepted.  But the committee has had a major erection for Izzo for two decades.  His abysmal record against the blue bloods (Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, etc) be damned.

This year’s 15 loss MSU team went farther in the tournament than all the other 15 loss teams.  The others were were all eliminated out of the gate and a couple years ago, they had to do the play-in game, which they lost.

How the hell does North Carolina always get kids to stay 2-3-4 years? Look at their roster, they’ve got Bacot and Davis as seniors, Ryan and Ingram as transfers. Several Sophs and Juniors. It must be nice!

Anyone see Illinois post game locker room celebration? Underwood came in with a super soaker. Where have I seen that before? Underwood trying to be like Beilein

Despite the entire landscape of college basketball being gutted by the transfer portal, 1-year “not here to play school” rentals, and everything else…on a pure entertainment level: nothing beats March Madness.

I was the guy in my younger years who watched every “Big Monday” or “Super Tuesday” games along with all Michigan games. I no longer am that guy (Middle aged father of 3 does that). But despite all of that and no personal investment, here I am watching Creighton v. Oregon after midnight on the edge of my seat.
