Duncan Robinson Pours in 20, 5/6 from Three in Convincing Heat Victory
Duncan had an excellent game as the #8 seed Miami Heat went up 2-1 on #1 seed Milwaukee Bucks. They won by 23 points, 121-99. Robinson was 7-9 from the field, 5-6 from three. An injury to Tyler Herro thrust Robinson back into the lineup. He knew exactly what to do with the opportunity.

They won by 22 points (not 23) 🙃

As in 45-23? Nice!

Super excited for Duncan. I can't imagine how difficult the past year has been for him. Granted, he's got some giant stacks of cash to keep him warm at night, but benched, lost confidence, lost shot, lost spot... it's been a rough 14 or so months for him. Hopefully this is the start of a turnaround.

Go Duncan!

Hopefully he can put together a few more good games and make someone want to trade for him. He needs to get out of Miami now that Herro is locked down as well.
There were some rumblings the Cavs were interested in him at the deadline and would have moved Caris to do so, but the Robinson contract is a bit much.

congrats Duncan on the huge contract but big mistake by the Heat. Duncan, unless he is shooting lights out has been exposed as a huge liability and is virtually unplayable, especially in playoff basketball when they'll iso him to death

If he watches his money from the current contract he is set for life and then some. That Robinson achieved as much as he did in the NBA is one of the more pleasant surprises for Michigan players going to the NBA. $80 million guaranteed is pretty amazing.
I could manage an NBA minimum salary (about a million) and pretty much be set for life. Duncan can spend wildly and still be set for life.
Even after taxes, I'd say that the $80,000,000 means that he won't have to pinch pennies too much to live well.
He made 3M the first 3 years before the big contract. He couldn't retire on that.

It's nice to see him get back in the swing of things.

Good to see, worth keeping in mind though that Giannis was hurt and has been since Game 1. Doesn’t diminish what Duncan did at all but it’s a big reason the margin was large
Finally a game that matches his payday. Unfortunately, he's been shit for a long while now. Hence a benching. Would be great to see him use a game like this and others that may come to propel him back to a playable NBA player.
It's annoyed me how much hate he's gotten recently, glad to see it.

Always make me happy when DRob is playing well, was one of my favorites during his time in AA. Hoping that he can continue to take advantage of his opportunity with Herro out and maybe parlay into a trade out of Miami this offseason
Wasn't he the guy that started off at Division III Williams and played for John Beilein, who had never been an assistant coach? Was he teammates with Kentucky transfer Charles Matthews?
