Granato Out At Wisconsin
Granato out at UW. No huge surprise there. Be interested to see who they pick up.

Bad now, but they haven’t always been, and I’d guess Wiscy gets themselves an upgrade here. Tough conference likely to get tougher. State no longer a joke, and everyone else has solid coaching and great recruiting pipelines.
Yeah, it kinda stinks to see how lousy they've been of late. I'd rather their basketball team be this terrible.
If/when Wisconsin gets good again, big ten hockey will be a murderer’s row.
Thank you. I had to guess the file name on your hard drive.
Are any of our coaches candidates?
Would not think Muckalt would go to Wiscy, but he’s certainly HC material
Here’s the early take in Madtown. Muckalt not on list.

David Carle? I'll believe that when I see it.
Everyone on that list seems like a bit of a stretch unless the Badgers are willing to up the ante to induce one of them to leave. Perhaps Jim Leonhard or Joe Krabbenhoft knows something about hockey.
Hastings is an interesting guy. He took a perennial bottom-feeder and turned them into a WCHA/CCHA juggernaut, so of course his name comes up for every major coaching job, and yet he hasn't been hired away yet, suggesting that he might be content where he is. On the other hand, it's well known that Minnesota State has applied to the NCHC several times and wants to be in a bigger pond. I'd think that that would indicate Hastings would be interested in a bigger job.
Maybe he's just bombing the interviews. I know Tech interviewed him a number of years before he got the MSU job, and we went with another candidate.
Beyond Hastings, I highly doubt any successful NCHC coach is coming to Wisconsin for a rebuild. The NCHC is consistently the top league in the country (except for this year), so being successful there means Frozen Fours and national titles are in the conversation every year. Unless Wisconsin decides to throw gobs of money at someone, it's a lateral move from the NCHC to the Big Ten.
That narrows it down to the OSU coach. Would the coach of another Big Ten school leave for his alma mater? It's possible, I guess. None of these names seem particularly plausible.
Matt painter available?
Time to raid
I hope it’s not our ace recruiter.
Hello Wisconsin recruits can I introduce you to Ann Arbor
