This is a good move for Rees.  Gets him out of the shadow of the Dome, allows him to work with elite talent, and lets Freeman bring in his guy.  There is an art to knowing when it's time to move on, and I expect he'll do so more gracefully than Gattis.

It’s not as if Davis is quickly coming to a decision for Michigan so I’d kick the tires on it if I were Harbaugh. You can sit around and do in 2024 what we did with Dante Moore and then miss out completely.

Hope the staff puts some feelers out to some of their 2023 signees. A lot of them were Michigan targets. I'm usually against tampering but fuck Notre Dame

Not that they are a reliable source, but most of the Domers I know hated Rees as OC, and I thought their offense was well outside the top 25, maybe outside top 50.  Young guy not blowing the doors off — feels like an odd hire for Saban

I don’t care about Rees.  I would prefer him and his lameness at ND.  This gives ND a chance to upgrade its OC.  Something I wish…

If I saw an opportunity to coach for and learn from the best in the business, I’d take it.

Go be the OC for Saban, work with the best talent in the country, you’re guaranteed to win a title if you’re there for 2-3 years. It’s trial by fire and you’ll get your ass chewed out more than once, but prove yourself and you will have the inside track to tons of prominent HC coaching gigs within 3-5 years.

Or stay at ND and work for a coaching staff that may not even be there within a few years.
