When is JD announcing?
With us finally getting a little momentum on the recruiting trail, I wanted to see if anyone has heard when Jadyn Davis is announcing? Last I heard was after his season, and with the season being done I wanted to see if Sam or anyone has posted details on when he's thinking. A commitment from him could really springboard recruiting across the board by getting a leader for the class, and also after a HUGE win in Columbus last weekend. Thanks yall. Go Blue!

My understanding is that he is going to commit when he wants to.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:08 AM ^
But, perhaps, one second before.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:38 AM ^
He should commit when WE want him too.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:46 AM ^
Insightful! This also got entirely too many likes
November 29th, 2022 at 10:13 AM ^
This getting exactly the right amount of negs.
November 29th, 2022 at 10:27 AM ^
oops, i may have given him one too many ... *rereads post* ... nope
November 29th, 2022 at 10:45 AM ^
He actually made a silent commitment, but only he knows where.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:09 AM ^
Within the next couple weeks last I’ve heard. By new year’s at the latest.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:10 AM ^
Should probably tweet at him.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:45 AM ^
I'll go ahead and threaten his family.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:12 AM ^
I'll ask my counterstrike buddy
November 29th, 2022 at 9:21 AM ^
Sounds like he is arranging a ceremony. I would anticipate it happening within the next few weeks

When is Wisconsin RB Braelon Allen hitting the portal or is he being fickle about it now?
November 29th, 2022 at 9:38 AM ^
Any RB worth having will have a stutter step before he hits the portal

Seems like things are progressing nicely. Jadyn's dad's new profile pic

Well played.

Just trying to read between the lines here, but is that an Indianapolis Colts helmet in the background?
Jadyn Davis to the Colts confirmed!
They need a QB, so this actually makes a lot of sense.
November 29th, 2022 at 10:22 AM ^
Dad is such a fan of Harbaugh that he bought that helmet last year when Jim was rumored to be going to the Colts. Obviously.
November 29th, 2022 at 10:26 AM ^
there's a bear's helmet there too.... they could use a QB, cuz the one they have played for ohio state, so he'll be a wr next season.
November 29th, 2022 at 10:38 AM ^
This is just Davis showing his love for Harbaugh. The Colt and Bears helmets are signed by Jim personally.

Will OSU up their prepaid NIL $$$ in response to their horrific, end of times run of sucktitude (against us)? I'm mostly serious.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:24 AM ^
He isn't likely to annouce until his high school team is finished with the playoffs.
I believe they won, so he's probably still celebrating.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:29 AM ^
They won. He played in his Michigan cleats.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:35 AM ^
December was always what I’ve read from the 247 board.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:36 AM ^
Bummer - I though you were going to let me know when JD & the Straight Shots were going to announce their next tour dates
November 29th, 2022 at 9:40 AM ^
+1, obscure
November 29th, 2022 at 9:37 AM ^
Not to hijack a post, but what about the other kid, Nick Harbor? I thought he was close to Michigan as well and would be a good pickup.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:50 AM ^
This should give you the info you are seeking.
TLDR is he's got officials to take still to Georgia, Maryland, and LSU but it sounds like we are still in play the way he gushed about us beating Ohio State.
And I quote, “That’s a really good win for Michigan. That’s a really big statement. Everybody thought Ohio State was going to come back and said it was going to be a revenge game. But Michigan showed they are the true kings of the Big Ten East.”
November 29th, 2022 at 10:26 AM ^
The way we've been using our tight ends should also be of interest to him including a true freshman in Loveland get as much run as he has all year
November 29th, 2022 at 9:52 AM ^
I havent read much about him recently but if South Carolina was in the mix before, their chances only grew larger with their big wins.
November 29th, 2022 at 10:25 AM ^
i thought he really wants to run track so he doesn't want to bulk up to play LB, and Michigan's lack of a high quality track team was a setback and why south carolina seems to be in the lead.
November 29th, 2022 at 10:40 AM ^
Michigan is willing to let him play tight end at his current size essentially. He’d be a flex tight end or like a Devin Funchess freshman year type of player. With loads of talent and speed. He’d be a perfect fit for a 50-50 ball kind of guy. Or think Nico Collins just slightly bigger and much faster.

Pretty much every recruiting guy I've heard comment on Harbor has said that school's will let him play Flex TE/WR like he wants to, but they all think he ends up at DE long term. Suppose it will depend on his track success and how his whims may change. His upside at WR is high but will be a project, whereas at DE he could come in and probably contribute situationally right away. They are guessing wherever he goes, he may want to change his mind and switch to D as that plays out, but the X factor is track and how attached he remains to that through his career.

It seems to me that a high caliber football star could make more money than a track star. In addition, Track is more of in individual sport where your times are really what matters. With that being said, he could get a superior education, be a high draft pick, make tons of money in the NFL and still be the number 1 track athlete in the world at Michigan. Somebody talk to this young man and let him know where his bread is buttered.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:50 AM ^
He already announced
November 29th, 2022 at 9:53 AM ^
Harbor and JD remain very good possibilities. But in today’s college football world, NIL is as important as winning. Both recruits could be delaying making a commitment to extract higher NIL offers. That is the way of the world in college football recruiting today. And any commitment given means nothing until signing day.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:58 AM ^
Jadyn Davis’ dad’s interview with Sam Webb made it clear that NIL is far down their list of priorities. He said he wants Jadyn to pick a school to stay at through the entirety of his college career; he said he doesn’t want Jadyn to be “a portal kid.”
November 29th, 2022 at 3:34 PM ^
I’d stop posting on the assumption with David’ recruitment. You haven’t followed clearly is if this is your thinking.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:56 AM ^
Title doesn't say who JD is, doesn't identify the sport, doesn't say what's being announced, and asks a question nobody knows the answer to. Excellent post.
November 29th, 2022 at 10:04 AM ^
And an even better response by you! If you dont know who JD is youve been living under a rock. Now get off my lawn
November 29th, 2022 at 10:26 AM ^
You haven't heard??? You'll never believe what he just said. Click here!!

Well Justin Feagin is a "family friend" who's "advising" them, so no one knows.
