I knew it!! There was talk by some of our folks in the media that Mich would be passed up by the Vols and we'd be either #4 or 5.
There was no defense played in the 'Bama/Vols game as in 101 total points scored. The Mich defense gave up only 10 and then crushed Penn State on offense. We never punted. Every drive was either a FG or TD.
Congrats on getting 1 vote for 1st place.

I had to wonder when I saw the ESPN power rankings that had Michigan fourth, jumping Clemson and had bama dropped to eighth. I know that isn’t necessarily an accurate reflection of the two polls, but it showed that quite a few people sat up and took notice of Michigan’s domination over PSU yesterday.

Illinois should be higher. They are believing. They can't be taken lightly. Their QB is back. Is it possible Cade McNamara will be there next year?

Bielema was a good hire for Illinois. Yeah, he didn't do so hot at Arkansas, but that was a tough gig, rebuilding a program in the SEC West. The B1G West is a lot more favorable and he knows the terrain better. He's also younger (52) than I thought he was. He could have a long run at UI.

Going strictly by the opponents poll positions on this poll, Tennessee has the best win of any of any unbeaten team. Looking closer at the results of the games, however, I’d argue that Georgia has the best win(Oregon 49-3) with Michigan next best, considering how they won against PSU (a 41-17 domination that wasn’t even as close as the score suggests). TCU took two overtimes against ok st, Clemson needed two ots against wake, and Tennessee’s win was basically a tossup at the end that could have easily gone the other way.
OSU has ZERO wins against anyone in the top 25 or “those receiving votes”.
