Do not mess with the Wolverines!

That would be a pretty incredible sight.
Fortunately, they weren't flagged for having 12 Wolverines on the (snow) field.

Wonder if the bears had the flu?
October 5th, 2022 at 9:34 AM ^
The bears had been practicing to fight southern animals in warm and/or indoor environments and got all confused when it snowed a little bit.

After the bears were chased away, more wolverines came to celebrate...

“It looked like the wolverines were chasing the bears for quite a while,” according to MacCartney. “But when the bears took an easier route out of the bowl along a rocky ledge, the growing group of wolverines went up” to the right, while another group broke left, trying to surround the bears on both sides.
This sounds like the UCLA Bruins trying to avoid joining the B1G - in a desperate attempt to avoid getting slaughtered by the relentless Wolverines.

All this tough Wolverine talk; y'all may have missed one of the comments in the article:
It’s already known that they’re not as solitary as once thought. And they are actually playful with each other similar to river otters.
Pffff.... riiiight, fluffy little river otters.

I'll have to make a trip to the Tetons. All I need is one of those wolverines to take to The Game in Columbus as an emotional support animal.

...and then release it and let the magic begin.

Apparently ohio's animal control laws would keep me out of trouble too. Bonus.

its a damn shame we don't have any bears on the schedule..... Maybe Baylor on Jan. 9th in SoFi Stadium?

From the Article, with a few edits of my own:
To see one wolverine, much less a dozen or more in the same area, all apparently working together against a Ryan Day and cubs, flies in the face of most documented behavior for the species.
“We couldn’t believe what we had just seen,” Gus Johnson said. “We were all pumped up and in awe by what we had just witnessed.”
Shared food sources — a Big Ten East Championship — could be responsible for drawing so many wolverines and the buckeyes to the same location, Jim Harbaugh, founder of The Wolverine Foundation, told Yellowstone Insight.
But the pictures suggest that wolverines may not be as solitary as they’re thought to be.
“With that said, 12-13 wolverines seen at the same time, on the same mountain, congregated together is quite unbelievably phenomenal,” Brian Cook said.
Can't wait for the UFR!

+1 for Gus.

Guessing that there are more than 25 in the contiguous 48 states ...

If Wolverines start hunting in packs, nature is FUCKED

Damned Yahoo News for leaking our pass rush plans for the rest of the season...

A number of seasons ago - I recall Michigan being flagged by an official for "intent to deceive".
I think nature would work similarly: deceiving an adversary in order to attain an advantage. And, what the net result of that might be.

I'm shocked there are only 400 in the continguous US. Are there any wolverine conservation efforts run by UM alumni? Should we start one?

I saw a wolverine at dusk, crossing the road near Denali National Park in Alaska. Beautiful animal.
Also, he/she was in no hurry. It looked right at me as if to say: "I own this joint, I'll get across when I get across."

We used to have these things live on our sidelines.
