I can't believe people actually thought that MSU should be favored in this game.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:42 PM ^
I know Michigan will get MSU's best and good shot later this month at the Big House. Is Tuck coming today vs. Minny. So far MSU been totally outcoached, out schemed, and out played today. Starting to feel sorry for Sparty and the cash burn happening in East Lansing.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:43 PM ^
The day you start to feel sorry for Sparty is the day you need to start rethinking your life.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:59 PM ^
My mistake. Was just have a little fun. Still excited about coming to the Mich MSU game this year, and always excited to see Michigan play MSU. Just don't like college coaches being so grossly overpaid I suppose.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:59 PM ^
Double post.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:46 PM ^
MSU could go the next 100 years and not win a game. I still wouldn’t feel bad for them!
September 24th, 2022 at 4:49 PM ^
Fuck MSU. I remember those Dantonio teams and their bullshit. They were giddy.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:42 PM ^
Lousy MSU turf is in midseason form, Ibrahim can’t make a cut.
Of course, he was already 25 yards downfield…
September 24th, 2022 at 4:43 PM ^
MTSU 24- Miami 3. Wow
September 24th, 2022 at 4:43 PM ^
Cool thing is I'm sure this game is personal for Fleck so he won't let off the gas.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:45 PM ^
Why is that personal? I don't know the history. Something happened when he was coaching down in WMU?
September 24th, 2022 at 4:44 PM ^
Fucking Sparty turnover luck.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:45 PM ^
That was unfortunate
September 24th, 2022 at 4:44 PM ^
They still have a horseshoe up their you-know-what.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:45 PM ^
Minnesota going down the field to make it a 4 score game and MSU gets a lucky turnover. Lol very Sparty. They'll lose by 14 and take another moral victory.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:45 PM ^
So to summarize: After going 2-5 in Tucker’s first year, MSU had a bunch of luck in 1-possession games and a fluke transfer that happened to be one of the best running backs in the country, so they decided to give Tucker $95 million.
Interesting strategy!
September 24th, 2022 at 4:46 PM ^
Yep. Good summary...
September 24th, 2022 at 4:47 PM ^
I thought his buy out was a lot too. Very bad contract. Beating UM is all it takes.
September 24th, 2022 at 5:30 PM ^
If they beat Michigan a few times, it's completely worth it to them.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:47 PM ^
Don’t forget they had the luxury of playing Pitt’s backup QB in the bowl game.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:50 PM ^
And didn’t he get injured early in the game?
September 24th, 2022 at 5:02 PM ^
3rd stringer.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:51 PM ^
Not to mention that he went 5-7 in his one season at Colorado. Tucker's had one career winning season.
Giving a guy $95 million because he squeaked past Michigan (in a game in which they were outgained by 150 yards, no less) is possibly the most Little Brother thing yet.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:53 PM ^
MSU is like the guy who keeps hitting longshot draws in poker and thinks he’s got skill.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:56 PM ^
They won 90% of their coin flips since Dantonio arrived. Short term variance.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:45 PM ^
Sparty is so damn lucky. Minnesota driving again to put more points on the board and the normally reliable Ibrahim fumbles and Sparty recovers. Mel’s bullshit luck continues.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:47 PM ^
They’re gonna get waxed. No worries
September 24th, 2022 at 4:47 PM ^
Maryland -17, Minnesota -3, and Florida -10.5 the easiest picks I’ve had this year.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:47 PM ^
Gattis might need a job after this game. Wow, the Canes O is awful.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:54 PM ^
He makes a good position coach
September 24th, 2022 at 5:59 PM ^
MSU fans heading for the exits in the 3rd quarter is awesome!
September 24th, 2022 at 4:48 PM ^
GO GOPHERS!!! Spartan fans have been taken out of the game so far.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:48 PM ^
It’s amazing that Michigan State leads the country in forced fumbles. I mean, sure, their defense is on the field constantly, but who runs against Sparty when you can pass?
Maybe they’re from receivers fumbling 50 yards downfield?
September 24th, 2022 at 4:50 PM ^
OMG I just remembered…
MSU was ranked two weeks ago! They’re still ranked in the coaches poll!
hahahahahahahahahahaha
(Breath)
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
September 24th, 2022 at 4:52 PM ^
Officials doing everything they can to help Sparty out
September 24th, 2022 at 4:52 PM ^
Oh, no! Some MSU fans are booing. Do they not know how dangerous that is?!
Surely their fans and media will spend a week making a huge deal about it because it is a dangerous development lol
September 24th, 2022 at 4:54 PM ^
Well, we — fans of the rival team — are all enjoying the boos. That should tell you something.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:54 PM ^
Do you want to be where the MSU program is right now?
September 24th, 2022 at 4:57 PM ^
1. I don't think we want to follow the example of Sparty.
2. Our jackasses were booing one player in particular - the starting QB on our Big Ten championship team, no less.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:52 PM ^
Kent State scored 22 on Georgia, so that's a thing.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:53 PM ^
Barrow down. Man, for Spartans wheels coming off this season
September 24th, 2022 at 4:53 PM ^
Man, if they keep this up, MSU isn't going to have any players left on defense.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:55 PM ^
Hope Minnesota has watched any MSU football from the last 20+ years and decides to run up the score as much as humanly possible. If they're only up 4 scores Sparty will start climbing back in against the backups.
September 24th, 2022 at 4:56 PM ^
Please throw it deep here! Make Tucker look like an idiot for calling a TO
September 24th, 2022 at 4:57 PM ^
Wow, great run by Morgan
Don't see how he was "giving himself up". He was trying to get 1st.
September 24th, 2022 at 5:06 PM ^
Looked to me like he was pulling up to slide, so the defender backed off.
I definitely want Sparty to lose, but I hate the fake slide by a QB. It's really not fair for the defense and a pretty cheap move by QBs to take advantage of a rule designed to protect them.
September 24th, 2022 at 5:27 PM ^
I hate the fake slide by a QB
Me too. I think I see it more in the NFL where a QB looks like he's is running OOB then turns it upfield. Defender hits him going out and it's 15 every time.
Not sure how they can legislate it.
~
That said, I don't know what Morgan was thinking but I think his intent was to get the 1st
September 24th, 2022 at 4:57 PM ^
MSU getting torched on the ground as well. Ha Ha.
September 24th, 2022 at 5:00 PM ^
Mel Tucker challenging a play out of desperation.
September 24th, 2022 at 5:00 PM ^
That’s got to be an incomplete pass.
Therefore, I assume it will be overturned.
