Video: Harbaugh conducts tour of weight and training facility
Short video. Harbaugh tours with Brad Galli of WXYZ TV. Extremely impressive facility and you get to see the strength coach (Herbert?) in action.

Nice video! Good to see Coach Herbert getting the guys right. Deestroying did a tour with Damani Dent about a month ago; also a good watch that goes a little further in depth.

Looks like it's all business inside that weight room. Great to see.

I like to see weight lifting in the weight room. Business should be conducted elsewhere.

I like the cut of your jib, Joe. I do my business in the business room.

Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but nobody wants to lift no heavy ass weights.

Does anyone know or was able to tell what the gravestone to the right said as they entered the weight room? It looked like it said RIP The Beacon or The Deacon, couldn’t tell which, and I’m wondering what that’s in reference to.
Either way, very cool to get a look inside. Very much looks all business in there. With Harbaugh having spent time in the league and knowing what it takes to succeed there, I don’t think I’d expect anything different.

I happened to get a tour this past Saturday and it said “the Deacon” - I cannot remember the details (was trying to keep up with the group) but it was a motivational thing they did during August.

I asked my son (who was with me) and he said there was some plant they named “The Deacon” that the players were supposed to water and they didn’t and it died so someone made a tombstone. That seems incoherent but that was what he took away from it.

This evokes flashbacks from Parris Island when the recruits were made to dig graves for any sand fleas we got caught killing.

I can’t say I’m sorry I’m missed out on that. Hollywood baby!

My son continues to rave about how amazing the weight room is. I would highly recommend the Big Man camp for anyone with a kid playing offense or defense line. Warm-up in the big house, nfl style combine activities on the outdoor practice field, in the weight room (wish they would have shown the box jump stairs in the video) and then technique drills in the indoor practice field. One on one drills in the big house to wrap the day. Best 25$ I have ever spent and a great experience for my son!

Nice story. Don't know how far your son might go in football but I bet he will be a Michigan fan for life.

Mazi is The Freak but Jalen Hurts squatting 600 pounds isn’t too shabby.

I bet you do

Love to see behind the scenes, but that interviewing guy is *terrible* on camera
The rhythm/chemistry was screeching nails on a chalkboard.

Yeah, the part when he did massaged Jim's shoulders was weird. Could have done without the peck on the ear too.

Oh I never pay for the bonus content.
Something very unwholesome about paying for what should be free-to-everyone information (news, weather, scholarly research, non-gameday homoeroticism, etc.)

When did they add the reverse hyperextension? I don’t remember seeing those before.
September 20th, 2022 at 9:31 PM ^
They take blood pressure medication to reverse the hypertensions.

What's that exercise where they're on their backs and lifting one leg? Looks like it works the lower back, so I'm not sure what the leg lift is for, because I can't see weight on it and it doesn't look explosive either.
September 21st, 2022 at 1:33 PM ^
It's a single leg hip bridge/thrust. You can do two-legged as well but it looks like they're doing them unilaterally and it does look like they're being told to explode through, just unloaded. Seems like the overall workout is focusing on isometric strength and mobility stuff as well, probably in addition to the traditional concentric strength workouts
