Joe Cocker put his name on the map at Woodstock. You gotta love his Little Help From My Friends song as well. He seemed to into a trance during that one.

Generally not an REO Speedwagon fan but that live version of "Ridin' the Storm Out" absolutely cooks. You're beautiful, people!
And pretty much anything from Iron Maiden's "Live After Death" ... just gives those songs a fullness and energy no one can match. Scream for me, Long Beach!

Both are excellent!

Silver and Gold and Exit, U2, Rattle & Hum
Crosseyed and Painless and Life During Wartime - Talking Heads, Stop Making Sense
You're Crazy, Out Ta Get Me, You Could Be Mine- Guns N Roses, Live Era (plus everything else)
As I mentioned above: State of Love & Trust, Pearl Jam, MTV Unplugged. + Man Who Sold The World, Nirvana MTV Unplugged.
Each of those albums have plenty of incredible live versions of their songs but those are my favorites.

Agree with everyone who said Live Bullet (especially Beautiful Loser, Katmandu and Get Out of Denver)
Also, Lynyrd Skynyrd - One More from the Road (everything)

I am ecstatic that Live Bullet is getting so much attention. I AM surprised it took this long to get to (Traveling Man)/Beautiful Loser which I play together almost as much as Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding

Like the opening guitar part on The Song Remains the Same from the album of the same name. And in the film, the mirrored guitar in Stairway. I think Prince used that same effect in one of his movies or videos.
Recent release of Live at the Roxy by The Tragically Hip with Gord Downie doing a killerwhaletank rif on New Orleans is Sinking.

Addicted to King Crimson’s live versions of Starless on the album of the 2021 tour (Spotify). The final tour and brilliant. Fripp and Jocko on guitar, three percussionists and Tony Levin.
How about Rhapsody in Blue by Liquid Tension Experiment from 10 years ago which proceeded last year’s studio version. Perhaps the best rock instrumental ever? and premiered live.

1) Peter Frampton from Frampton Comes Alive- Do You Feel Like We Do
2) Bob Seager from Silver Bullet-Travlin Man/Beautiful Loser
3) REO Speedwagon- Ridin the Storm Out
All are high energy songs with notable audience participation.

One of my favorites is Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand (Live Knebworth 1979). I thought this was better than the studio version.
