Providence won. Memphis is up big at the half on Boise St. They are a better team without Bates. Baylor up big at the half as well. Waiting on the TN/Longwood and Iowa/Richmond games to come on.

Honestly I don't think anyone is surprised when Iowa loses in the tourney but you do not expect it to be because of offense. Even a decent offensive game and they win this game easily. They just wanted to sit there jacking up contested shots all game with little ball movement. Frustrating because Richmond had no answer when they actually attacked inside with Murray, etc.

LOLOWA. Iowa has been riding 3pt luck since they beat Michigan. Cannot believe people were thoughtless enough to put them into the FF.

I feel bad for Iowa in the sense they wasted a golden era in terms of players and have nothing much to show for it.  Also, I feel bad for Jordan Bohanon's kids who had to watch their dad lose in the first round.

Iowa was 6-29 from 3 (had a stretch going 4-6)  rest of game 2 for 23 ,this is how you lose games

No offensive sets in the entire 2nd half ,outside the two inbound lobs....

I think what' we've learned from this is that Iowa cannot be trusted in the tournament.

The last time they made it to the 2nd weekend was 1999 when they were a 5 seed and lost to 1 UConn in the Sweet 16. In the 9 trips since then:

  • 2001: 7 seed, lost in 2nd round to 2 Kentucky
  • 2005: 10 seed, lost in 1st round to 7 Cincy
  • 2006: 3 seed, lost to 14 Northwestern State
  • 2014: First four, lost to 11 Tennessee
  • 2015: 7 seed, lost in 2nd round to 2 Gonzaga
  • 2016: 7 seed, lost in 2nd round to 2 Villanova
  • 2019: 10 seed, lost in 2nd round to 2 Tennessee
  • 2021: 2 seed, lost in 2nd round to 7 Oregon
  • 2022: 5 seed, list in 1st round to 12 Richmond

Honestly even though I have Gonzaga in my title game go Georgia State, go team chaos the rest of the tournament. But if Gonzaga posts up every time down Georgia State has no shot.

Good effort from Georgia State for awhile but just too much talent and size for Gonzaga. Side note anyway watching Hulu on a fire stick? I swear to god it freezes all the time and I have zero problems with any other app.

So far Baylor and Carolina have looked the most impressive. Tennessee sure, but Longwood?

Georgia State can be proud of their first half.

Richmond can rejoice, as can we.

The others win and advance but haven't looked too impressive.
