Many MGoMembers are dog owners and dog lovers and thought there may be interest in a thread on our opponent Georgia's adorable mascot Uga.

Uga is the perennial name of the University of Georgia mascot.  Uga is a white English bulldog that was named the best college mascot in 2019 by https://www.si.com/college/2019/08/12/best-college-football-mascots-rankings Sports Illustrated.

Uga also has his own GA alumni boosters  https://alumni.uga.edu/2021/02/22/eight-reasons-why-uga-is-the-best-mascot/

Here's a few videos below on Uga for those interested in this kind of stuff (which I am).

One of the many reasons US college sports are the best!

OT - Bulldog is the most common mascot in Division 1

Who watched the Netflix documentary Dogs?  The episode on the bulldog and his handlers from Butler is well done

One of my employees used to be a handler for Jonathan the Husky at UCONN.  She has some amazing stories from that experience - meeting celebrities, having to keep the fans at bay, taking care of the "celebrity" dog.  Sounds almost like being an assistant to a Hollywood star, but without the attitude.
