Ryan Van Bergan on The Wolverine
I just listened to RVB on The Wolverine and I am very impressed with his thorough and insightful analysis. RVB is a bright guy and it is worth a listen. MUCH better analysis than some other football alums that come to mind like Marcus Ray or Doug Skene. Van Bergen is legit.

Ryan - Did you just intentionally misspell your last name to throw us off the scent?

I love RVB but I despise Anthony Broome. Total tool. Ugh might have to grit my teeth and just watch.

He is very good. Smart guy who knows what he’s talking about.

Now all we need is a little something about WHAT HE ACTUALLY SAID and we are all set.

I might be in the minority here, but I have listened to about 3 of those Broome/RVB podcasts and never found his analysis to be that insightful or entertaining (one or both is preferred for me to listen)….also I listened to him after the IU game week and he said “Harbaugh has what, one 10 win season in 7 years?”, and Broome had to correct him awkwardly and it told me that RVB really hasn’t paid much attention to UM football since his playing days ended.
Just my 2 cents on the guy as a Michigan podcaster

I should start a new thread telling everyone that I listened to SiriusXM's college football radio show a little yesterday, because they talked about college football.

I actually like Skene. He's pretty insightful

RVB is fine, but Skene is better.

Sorry
I don’t do anything attached to the Wolverine.com
Dislike Balas, arrogant prick

We really have the worst group of "analysts", other than Jake Butt they are all BPONEd and "i don't believe".
But I'm sure with this fanbase, it's the negative opinions that get clicks.

It's all kind of a natural consequence of having like 2 wins over your main rival in 20 years.

The thing about streaks like that, is that they always end. Wisconsin eventually lost to Minnesota. Virginia Tech eventually lost to Virginia. Notre Dame eventually lost to Navy. Florida eventually lost to Kentucky. USC eventually lost to Stanford. Hell, we eventually lost to Indiana after 20 some years.
The only illogical thought would be thinking that Michigan will never beat Ohio State ever again. It's going to happen. Could be this year. I believe it. The team feels like they believe it. The boys are gonna get it done.

It’s not about ending a streak—that can happen on any given day. You need to get back to being competitive on a consistent basis and there’s zero guarantee that will ever happen. Ask former Big Ten powerhouse and seven time national champion Minnesota if you don’t believe that.

Totally disagree with OP. Skene is far more insightful than RVB. Pretty clear to me that Skene is objective when critical of the team and will admit when he’s incorrect. RVB on the other hand has an axe to grind with Harbaugh.
