Odds that Smith and Chaundee Return?
Eventually the probabilities will be either 0 or 100.
60% of the time, they return every time.
Im not gonna lie, this take smells like pure gasoline
83% of all stats are made up.
Duh, 67% of people know that
How about we just enjoy the game tonight and worry about that later...
Apparently Smith has a "corporate job" lined up and won't be returning, according to the Wolverine. Disregard my question. Come back Chaundee!
Been hearing very reliable info that both are tired of being in school. Remember, UM, Wake and Columbia it isn’t like drifting through UNC even when you play basketball
Is it possible to "drift" through the 3rd ranked public university?
The University of North Carolina academic-athletic scandal involved alleged fraud and academic dishonesty committed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC).[1] Following a lesser scandal that began in 2010 involving academic fraud and improper benefits with the university's football program, two hundred questionable classes offered by the university's African and Afro-American Studies department (commonly known as AFAM) came to light. As a result, the university was placed on probation by its accrediting agency.
So I'm gonna go ahead and yep
Yep indeed. What I was referring to. However, on a larger point, staying in college an extra year is usually something us old people think us a great deal because we have nostalgia. When I was 21, I couldn’t wait to finish, and the sport I played was rugby where I could drink before, during and after the games. Didn’t have to grind like a real athlete.
I second this. Also played rugby and had a blast at college. Was ready to move on. Wouldn't necessarily go back now but certainly romanticize the idea in daydreams, too. I can bet there's an age/time in my life when I'd go back.
Your point is valid, but I was a tutor for athletics at UNC post-scandal for athletes in the $ sports. It was squeaky clean at that point. Like at UM or Wake, athletes still likely had advisors who can direct them to classes if grades/academics are a concern, but those days at UNC were over and likely will be at least for a bit until enough time passes. Then I'd say it's as likely to happen at UM or Wake, but that's prognostication rather than current insider info.

Cool. Maybe you should clip/paste your clipped and pasted story to places like US News & World report rankings as well as all the kids on the east coast trying to get admission to the #3 ranked public university in the country.
Seriously what is with this MGoUniverse today? This is truly the most neurotic fanbase ever. We are playing for the Final 4 tonight and people are worried about Jett Howard maybe tearing an ACL in 2024. Live in the now and enjoy the game (and hopefully the two that will follow!).
Go Blue and chill out!
Seriously. I hate this fan base
Every college sports message board has threads like this by people who want to look ahead to the next season.
The worst thing about this message board is the people who overreact to every reaction. One guy asked a question. Not the whole fanbase.
My favorite is the fan who yells at the rest of us to keep our focus on today's game as if we're the first man of the bench/Chaundee.
It might be a fear of OT season. We all realize it could be as short as three hours away!
Bite your tongue, XM!
Having them come back is fine...I wonder what ripple effect that may cause for the younger players though.
It’s 50% each. So 50% x 2 = 100%
It's simple math, can't argue with that.
It sounds like early optimism that maybe one of Brown, Smith, or Brooks would return is fading.
It would be nice to add at least one more guard for next year and those were your options for a "free" roster spot.
Barring an unforeseen roster change (Hello - Chet Holmgren...come play the "Wagner" role next year!!..) there should be room for at least one transfer and I would expect guard to be the priority. The nice thing is that M should pretty much have its pick in the grad-transfer market and can find the "right" fit to pair with a young team.
How exactly do we have our pick of the grad transfer market?
Ant Wright noted an interview by Saddi Washington saying that MMB's phone was "ringing off the hook" with kids in the transfer portal.
Who would not want to come and get some of what Chaundee and Mike are getting this year? - Coach Howard is coming off VERY well as someone you would want to play. Obviously it has to be the "right" transfer and I am not sure how easy undergrad transfers will be (thanks M admissions) -- so I assume it will grad transfers.
KBA said the same thing - success attracts talent.
which attracts success
I believe there is probability they decide to stay or leave.
Insiders are saying there is nearly 100% chance that at least one of Smith or Brown will decide to stay or leave.
Whoa, whoa whoa - let’s go easy with these outrageous allegations

Probably insider information
The trick is to not open the box, and leave the cat alone.
Still dead; or alive.
Schrodinger's point guard.
This is a completely pointless thread. Neither of them will make their decisions until after the tournament is over. So why speculate at this point?
If only we had a #1 recruiting class to back fill guys who are leaving.
Oh wait
History has shown that a roster of pure freshmen doesn’t cut it if your talking about a national championship. You need some veterans. If Dickinson and one of the following guys (brown, smith, Brooks) come back. We’re are gonna be an impossible team to beat
The FAB FIVE called in and said "not so fast".....LOL
I know they didn't win it all but i'd take that kind of run with the kids coming in the next couple of years!
Right, they didn't win it all, I think that was his point.
But they didn’t win the whole thing. And I’m only counting them as freshman. They were a 6 seed so they had a good year but it wasn’t amazing
That season wasn't amazing? You sir have lost the plot.
If they come back we’re hands down preseason #1 or #2. Gonzaga could very likely be #1 again next year
I could see this. Hopes that their incoming freshman need time on task to make a big splash, as I'm sure Suggs is gone after this season.
Smith returning is THE key to a deep run next year. Would love to have Chaundee as well, but we really need Smith.
If we are entertaining the transfer market, I remain high on Nimari Burnett, though he doesn't give you the maestro PG we have in Smith
Pretty sure Chaundee is done-zo after this year no matter what happens. Isn’t he a grad transfer with no remaining eligibility?
