“LeBron James” gifts the entire OSU Football Team Beats Headphones
Curious, what is the rule for individuals to give players gifts? Is this the equivalent of Bobby Kotick paying a few million to send the team on their annual trip?

Damn, he went all "hit em up" on em
December 26th, 2019 at 11:34 PM ^
Their going to use them to listen to their online lectures. Definitely educational.
December 27th, 2019 at 12:31 AM ^
Did you attend OSU?
December 27th, 2019 at 11:03 AM ^
Does anyone?
December 27th, 2019 at 7:25 AM ^
They are?
December 27th, 2019 at 7:48 AM ^
Don't stop him, he's on a role.
December 26th, 2019 at 11:37 PM ^
"But he's an alumnus" - t[tm]OSU fan
Ohio State fans and administration insecurity will leave no stone unturned in their never-ending quest for legitimacy. It won't work but they will keep doing it.
December 26th, 2019 at 11:38 PM ^
You guys are so jelly. Too bad A list athletes in other sports like Lebron and Bryce Harper are big time OSU fans. Get your own celeb fans and stop being petty haters.
December 26th, 2019 at 11:45 PM ^
Maybe one day Lebron will send is kid to OSU... Like Barack Obama did with his to Michigan.
December 27th, 2019 at 1:53 AM ^
Bryce Harper is a fucking loser.
December 27th, 2019 at 3:56 AM ^
Yeah, it truly would be great if the greatest athlete of all time were a Michigan fan or somehow affiliated with the university. Someone who has received more championships and championship appearances than any other athlete in his sport. Playing the hardest position in that sport. Yeah. That would be awesome. Just like LeBro…oh, wait, he'll never catch up to Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, or Larry Bird.
It would also be awesome if the most accomplished individual athlete were somehow affiliated with Michigan. Someone who won a shit-ton of gold medals, for example.
I mean, if those options weren't available, I guess it'd be cool to have the second best player currently on the Lakers as a fan.
December 27th, 2019 at 7:55 AM ^
Right, there are zero A-list athletes in other sports who are Michigan fans. Dumbass
December 27th, 2019 at 1:36 PM ^
"Yeah, Jeets!"
December 27th, 2019 at 3:20 PM ^
this doesn't count. Because Jeter was a student . . .. who actually went to class.
December 27th, 2019 at 8:07 AM ^
Bryce Harper. ?
December 27th, 2019 at 8:58 AM ^
Yeah, because Tom Brady, Derek Jeter and Kate Upton aren't A-listers....
December 27th, 2019 at 11:32 AM ^
They may be fans but the issue is they aren't "showing the love" like Lebron does hence the butthurt displayed here. OSU wears Lebron brand and you think OSU compliance didn't clear this with NCAA?
December 27th, 2019 at 12:46 PM ^
Lol, as if OSU fans don't act butthurt all the time about ANYTHING Michigan does, despite dominating us for two decades.
December 27th, 2019 at 1:42 PM ^
Lebron just reinjured his groin. His dick is on ice for a while...
December 26th, 2019 at 11:46 PM ^
He is an alumnus after all.
December 27th, 2019 at 12:00 AM ^
Beats are the worst
December 27th, 2019 at 6:48 AM ^
December 27th, 2019 at 1:03 AM ^
I get downvoted every time I say it but I don't care, I'll keep saying it. Michigan fans who show concern about this stuff are total suckers. And they are increasingly becoming pariahs in today's society.
December 27th, 2019 at 1:35 AM ^
Meh. Beats are garbage $12 headphones with a $200 price tag.
They can have em.

This board discusses OSU too much

It's LeJon Brames.
December 27th, 2019 at 4:46 AM ^
again? Didn't he do that last year?
enabler
December 27th, 2019 at 10:14 AM ^
No Gustave, the guy who handed out "beats" last year got both himself and the head coach fired.
December 27th, 2019 at 5:42 AM ^
OSU is and has been for a Long time a Cesspool of rule breakers and cheaters..we just have to accept the fact that becaue they Cheat they will continuie to win..How many incidents now have weve seen of rules brokens, $$$$$ given, Cars bought, classes non existent , and those are just the ones we KNOW about and on and on and on
December 27th, 2019 at 11:37 AM ^
You sound like a loser making unsubstantiated excuses, even though UM as an instiutuion was implicated in the largest pay for play scandal in NCAA history and now in the Adidas scandal UM football players getting paid by a financial advisor was on record by sworn testimony. In 8 years OSU will have the precious all time wins lead over UM, more national titles too. What would happen if OSU passes UM on the US News rankings? This board would have a heart attack. Roughly 25 spots behind, but winning football attracts stronger students from out of state. OSU ACT average going up every year so it isn't out of the realm of possiblity.
December 27th, 2019 at 11:48 AM ^
Oh look, traditional OSU troll talking points rehashed. Head back to 11W anytime. The shoes were sold by former players who were no longer affiliated with the school. No "scandal." And re: Blazer, despite getting a plea deal, allowing him to spill all the beans, he offered no specifics about UM or UM players.
December 27th, 2019 at 12:10 PM ^
speaking of unsubstantiated losers, what are you doing here? and i write that even though i like your cow avatar.
seriously, what on earth would motivate a guy/gal like you to even look at mgoblog, much less attempt to troll it? are you that insecure and sensitive? did a wolverine hurt you or break your heart to go with someone who could read? dish, please, i'm sure others are curious too.

You speak from your own experience I take it?
December 27th, 2019 at 1:28 PM ^
Bored out of my mind waiting for tomorrow's playoff game to start. Sad that the college football season is ending in 2 weeks. Seeing what OSU's rivals are saying. UM and PSU forums are the only ones I read of rivals. Not trolling, of course if I see bs about OSU I'll respond. If the owner of this forum doesn't want rival fans and the clicks they provide for ad revenue, we (rival fans) will leave. You should ask the owner of the forum if he wants less revenue.
December 27th, 2019 at 1:34 PM ^
eh, its not the rival fan thing, its the troll thing. there's a difference. we have some buckeyes contributing here and they are welcome. they don't troll. you should try that.
serious question: what is your take on your game v. clemson tomorrow? i see you guys as very strong and clemson as talented but having had a cake schedule. who wins and why?
December 27th, 2019 at 5:46 PM ^
I seriously wasn't trying to troll. I guess UM fans will always be convinced OSU only wins by cheating and nothing I can say will convince them otherwise, so I'll let that go. I think its going to be a close game but I see OSU winning because they actually have better lines on OL and DL. I saw this year that teams were able to run on Clemson's undersized DL and the run game is OSU's strength. It's actually unstoppable. Fields and Dobbins are a beast to contain. PSU was the strongest run defense faced this year and Dobbins went off for 150+. Of course, this is assuming Fields is healthy and can run. OSU's lb's are the weak link for OSU and I do worry about Werner being able to contain his assignment. It should be an epic game and feels like the 2014 Alabama game where no one gave OSU a chance against an "unbeatable" opponent.
December 28th, 2019 at 7:23 AM ^
purely as a CFB fan, and putting aside my natural loathing for ohio, i see it as the best game of all the bowls and the winner will indeed win their next game also. your comments seem accurate from what i've observed of the teams this year. if i was betting, i'd take ohio and the points.
and you forgive us michigan fans re: ohio is cheating. there is both strong evidence and strong motivation to believe it.
nice cow. is it yours?
December 28th, 2019 at 12:13 PM ^
lol I think eveyone cheats on a certain level. OSU fans are sore about Clemson's cheating with PEDS (ostarine). I don't own a cow; the purple cow is actually my alma mater's mascot. Oddly enough, I actualy have more friends and family who attended UM than OSU so naturally like to give them a hard time. Good luck against Alabama think it would be a good win for the B1G if it happens to take down one of the SEC darlings.
December 27th, 2019 at 5:43 AM ^
Wonder what they’ll trade these for.
December 27th, 2019 at 6:28 AM ^
Probably blojes.
December 27th, 2019 at 7:27 AM ^
I guess they are riding LeBron's Beats to the Championship.
December 27th, 2019 at 8:44 AM ^
I can’t believe this is being made into an issue. We have donations being made to send our team overseas, but people throw an “educational purposes” mask over that to convince themselves it’s ok. Same thing with people getting mad over online classes. Is this really an issue? Jesus Christ.
December 27th, 2019 at 9:21 AM ^
I don't see this as an issue, it's a perk of playing for a school like OSU. BUT, I do think the overseas trips are extremely educational. If it was just for recruiting, we'd be taking recruits overseas. Most of these kids haven't been out of the country and they seem really into it.
December 27th, 2019 at 9:26 AM ^
I agree completely. I think they’re great.. just saying they’re not completely for educational purposes. It does a lot for recruiting too. I wish more young people had exposure to the world like this.
December 27th, 2019 at 9:37 AM ^
I heard the Beats headphones are so they can listen to their on-line classes better, and therefore an educational gift.
December 27th, 2019 at 9:00 AM ^
Meh, they get headphones, our players get lavish international trips. Pretty hypocritical to complain about it. Moving on.
I still maintain a steadfast belief that LeBron would never have gone to OSU even if he went to college. He would've gone to the bluebloods for one year and then high-tailed it out for the pros.
