A collection of talented…

A collection of talented individuals coming together for a paycheck is not a Team. Sometimes when there is enough talent it will overcome other obstacles, but you can't make them play for each other and I don't think that Day is capable of bringing them together. I totally agree with Glory that he is a petty man that is all about himself.

I do think they are probably going to beat us in 2024. We had a run and are losing a lot of talent. Three years ago I would be panicking and talking about what Michigan has to do to keep up. Now I look at it as desperation to save his own ass and not looking out what is best for his players. Good will triumph over evil in the long run and even if we lose in 2024 we will be back in 2025 because you cannot sustain what he is doing.

Oh crap, does that mean we…

Oh crap, does that mean we have to share this National Championship too?

Don't forget my oldest son…

Don't forget my oldest son who walked across that stage today. Sorry about the brag, but very proud of that young man.

Or in the draft.....or free…

Or in the draft.....or free agency....

I don't think this is what…

I don't think this is what is happening but I could get onboard with it. It removes the narrative out there that we are pointing fingers and saying "but they did" this too. We admit that something wrong occurred and we take our punishment and now we are just asking that the Big Ten holds everyone else to this same standard when someone points out something they did wrong.

The OSU insiders are talking…

The OSU insiders are talking about a whistleblower, offering players immunity, and a gambling ring. I don't want to believe it and I haven't wanted to believe anything they have said yet, but to be completely honest they have been correct a whole hell of a lot more than our "insiders". They talk about it days in advance and are so smug about it, it is almost as if everyone on that side knows exactly what is coming next and we are just guessing over here.

I hope so too St Joe but…

I hope so too St Joe but based on what we have seen I am having doubts as to the existance of this information.

Agree 100%. I have been…

Agree 100%. I have been watching this former OSU player and neanderthal Kirk Barton, who had his media credentials pulled, end up being more credible than our so-called insiders and it is embarrassing.  If we have a binder of ammo what the hell are we waiting on? The threat was there but we tucked our tail up and caved again.

To me the next move in this…

To me the next move in this chess game is that Michigan should already be on the phone with the SEC about a move there. Whether it is genuine or not it might be something that slows down the ESPN media barrage.

This makes me feel a lot…

This makes me feel a lot better about the "vast criminal network" that is being run by Michigan. Even if the coaches knew this seems to fit within the gray area of the rules, but this definitely seems to point to the lone wolf theory.

Also, they keep bringing up this $15,000 budget for the year like it is some astronomical figure. Michigan's football budget for 2023 is something like $224m. Maybe I am crazy but this just gives me a pretty good sense that this is being funded by Stalions.

LSA, having seen family…

LSA, having seen family members fight this same terrible disease I understand what it is like watching this decline and I am sure that many others do as well. "Mercifully ended" is a perfect way to describe this and there should be no guilt in being relieved that his fight is over. I am certain he would be very proud of the way that you handled this as well as the man that you are. God Bless you and your family and I will include you all in my prayers.

Thoughts and prayers are…

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend.

With NIL I am guessing some…

With NIL I am guessing some of the top players will just have a home in LA, one in the mountains, and then one in the midwest.

I have been been a fan of J…

I have been been a fan of J Mascis for about 30 years. I remember seeing him at the Blind Pig in the early 90's. No set list, asked the audience what they wanted to hear, and played for hours. Remodeled my basement this past winter and started listening to the Farm album again. Watch the Corners has my favorite solo on that one.

10 Missed shots from within…

10 Missed shots from within 3 feet and another 10 from 7-8 feet?

I bet the over, so you can…

I bet the over, so you can all thank me for this efficient scoring fest so far.

Exactly Mr Miggle. I would…

Exactly Mr Miggle. I would get so upset when a good OSU coach would get an offer from another school and Urban would throw the Assistant Head Coach title at them to get them to stay.

Brady was in a different…

Brady was in a different situation with his wife making more than him, but him taking a salary for 1/2 of what he could get certainly had something to do with allowing the team to build a good defense. I always thought he might have taken less even if he wasn't married to a super model. I think he likes winning far more than the money.

I guess you need to give him…

I guess you need to give him at least three recruiting classes to fix the holes in his roster.

Agree 100% Stringer. This is…

Agree 100% Stringer. This is always my response to the "look at all the talent we lost" argument. If we had so much talent, then why didn't we compete last year. Ten draft picks, and four losses!

Even if Harbaugh is meddling…

Even if Harbaugh is meddling I don't think that is a good enough excuse to hand it over. If Harbaugh is meddling it means that either Gattis is not assertive enough to push his style on the coach that hired him to run his own offense, or that he has not done enough to gain Harbaugh's trust. Either way this is not someone I would want leading my team.

You don't see Harbaugh meddling with Brown, as bad as his defense has been, which should tell you something about Gattis.

NJ, while I agree with your…

NJ, while I agree with your overall point of this being immoral, this is not being done so you or I are entertained. This is only about money, which to me makes it even worse.

Interesting "hit rate" on…

Interesting "hit rate" on defense vs offense. Harder to predict skill positions? System? Level of competition makes them stand out more?

I know there were other issues with two of the RBs, but I wouldn't have expected that big of a difference.

Correct!!!! Too may times on…

Correct!!!! Too may times on this this forum people point to the one or two exceptions. If that's the case lets only consider 5'8" RBs because Barry Sanders, or draft a QB in the 6th round because Tom Brady.

kjason, my son was just…

kjason, my son was just accepted and is considering the same thing. We have had these discussions, and I know its a different time, but I keep thinking about starting your career at 30 with that kind of debt. You are probably right though about looking at this through the eyes of an 18 year old. He's earned the right to make this decision, so my position is to support him and help out when I can.

I agree with what you are…

I agree with what you are saying, but I think this continued bravado is part of the issue. Continuing to act like the team is at OSUs level gives them even more reason to want to trounce us the next year. Why not be realistic? Why don't we try saying we are tired of getting our asses handed to us, and we have a lot of work to do? Why don't we say it is our job to make this a rivalry again?

Making excuses as to why we lose every year instead of giving OSU credit, isn't helping at all either.

Easy answer. Ohio State…

Easy answer. Ohio State. Because they always do. We could prove that Urban Meyer and Ryan Day developed the Coronavirus, so they could administer it to their own team to get them sick, so they could get a couple of days off work, so they could go worship the the tomb of Adolf Hitler, so they could get support to resurrect Nazi Germany, and all recruits and their parents would talk about is that a few Coronavirus deaths could really open up the depth chart and give me an opportunity for early playing time.

And that win percentage for…

And that win percentage for Meyer/Day would be less than .850 had Michigan been winning at their historical rate against OSU. So a large part of the difference contributing to OSU being elite, and the best era in their history, is that Michigan is not holding up their endo fo the bargain in the rivalry.

No Gustave, the guy who…

No Gustave, the guy who handed out "beats" last year got both himself and the head coach fired.

I honestly think the coaches…

I honestly think the coaches have given up. They are running clock so OSU can't run up the score any more and make this worse than it is. Why else would they be kicking field goals instead of trying to get back in the game?

The sad part of this is that…

The sad part of this is that whoever wrote what you posted felt it was necessary to identify that it was a "dummy" dressed as the the Pittsburgh QB. I'll assume this was done because it is really not that unbelievable to think that these animals would have kidnapped the real Mason Rudolph to do this.

If we want to look at…

If we want to look at precedence in how the NCAA deals with "the" OSU, then why not let him play out the season and the bowl game? Then "the" OSU can promise that he will serve his suspension at the start of next season.

OSU and Gene Smith have a…

OSU and Gene Smith have a long history of self reporting hundreds of minor violations, but all of the major ones seem to slip by their compliance department. Could it be that they self report the minor ones to give the appearance that they are in compliance? Not all of us are as stupid as the NCAA is.

He paid it back with a loan…

He paid it back with a loan that he got from a "family friend" that he met shortly after he took the original loan.

Great advice! I would also…

Great advice! I would also suggest using topping compound for your final coat.

I think the entire purpose…

I think the entire purpose of the suspension is just in case something like Zach Smith flipping. If they reinstate him right away and something comes out right away they look foolish.....well, more foolish. This way they can say they never let him coach again if something comes out.

So the revised police report…

So the revised police report came out on the same day the Urbs spoke (lied) on Big Ten Media Day? Wow, is that ironic!

So Urbs hired him at OSU,…

So Urbs hired him at OSU, and Urbs and Shelly did not report the incident in 2015, in part, based on the fact that they did not believe Courtney's story to be truthful? They came to this conclusion after a 2009 sit down with the couple were they helped counsel them. A meeting that both Zach and Courtney Smith denied happened. Ok, sounds legit!

Well if she is comparing him…

Well if she is comparing him to Meyer and Franklin I'd have to say that difference is probably honesty. She is just not used to that when dealing with the others.

Way less for me too. Either…

Way less for me too. Either I just got used to the old way and don't like change, or it is more difficult to use; not really sure, but don't like it as much.

Yes, there is a disconnect,…

Yes, there is a disconnect, but really? Losing to State and a loss in the bowl game = bad for recruiting, but widespread culture of rape after a 3-9 season = good for recruiting? State is having a very good year recruiting by their standards after the tire fire that has gone on there for the last two years.

It's about what the coaches tell them, and if they believe them. Right now the instate kids seem to believe the garbage that Dantonio is feeding them, and not getting the same vibe right now from the Michigan coaches. We have had tons of turnover since Harbaugh got here; which is what happens when you hire highly qualified coaches. We need some stability going forward to allow the coaches to build the relationships.

I get what you are trying to…

I get what you are trying to say here, but if we couldn't beat MSU and Wisconsin with better talent then they had; how are we supposed to beat them when we are recruiting on the same level as these schools?

This is required in order…

This is required in order for them to have the largest class ever. Anyone who knows math would never attend because they would know this:

-You do nothing to change the culture

-You continue to cover-up, deny, and blame the victims

-You add more innocent women on campus

0 Change + Continued Cover-up + More Potential Victims= More Sexual Assault

Or at least that is how I remember that formula working

I don't understand why you

I don't understand why you can't post something like this on here without getting completely negged. Bluey has a point, and being a homer or loyal to your team shouldn't keep us from seeing past it. The last recruiting class and the way this one is shaping up can be descriibed as nothing but total and complete dissapointments. Yes, we got a few good players to get this class going, one we will probably lose to Stanford despite what he recently said, but we do not have a single crystal ball the recruiting site for any other top 100 recruit.

We fall further behind OSU everyday, and I never thought I would say this, but they are going to pass us in the all-time series before I die......probably quite a bit before it too. I think that is the only thing that will wake some of you up.

Stars don't matter right? Well I have a feeling that is what all of you will be using as an excuse in 3 years for this team. They were 8-5 again, but that is because the 2018-2019 recruiting classes were so weak, but maybe in 2022, when the 2020 class begins to develop Harbaugh will have a chance to get his first win against OSU.

I expected domination when Harbaugh got here. I expected our rivals to fear us. They are laughing at us, and they are laughing at all of you who can't accept that this has been the 5th to 6th best Big Ten team over the last 10 years, and we are not moving in the right direction with Harbaugh. The guy was a maniac everywhere he has been. He built teams; tough teams; physically dominant teams; that would impose their will on you. Our offense is soft, he can't develop a QB, and now they can't recruit anymore. I never thought this could happen at UM anytime, much less with Harbaugh here. Stop making excuses for this man. He hasn't lived up to expectations, and unless he gets that fire back I can't see us being better than an 8-9 win team, which seems to be just fine by the majority of you.

Go ahead and call me Maizen or whatever and ignore the downward trajectory this program continues to go on. Go ahead and tell me to go root for someone else while you continue to not only accept mediocrity, but condone it by your refusal to objectively look at anything Michigan related.

There are a lot of crystal

There are a lot of crystal balls on the instate list for MSU. If there was ever an opportunity to negatively recruit.........

If I was on the staff I would be doing in home visits and charming the Mothers of these young men!

Sorry, unlike you don't have

Sorry, unlike you don't have all the answers. Another poster made a valid point. Should I stick by by original argument then and be an internet douchbag like you, or give him credit for bringing up a good point.

Idiots like you are why I never post on blogs like this. Typical asshat that knows everything.

Makes sense. I can't imagine

Makes sense. I can't imagine they send a lot of resources out to CT to do early scouting at these recruting sites.

It is looking like 2019

It is looking like 2019 recruiting is going the way of 2018; just earlier in the cycle. I don't think we have a crystal ball from a top 100 recruit . We got a couple of good ones early, and will probably lose one of them, but after that there are not too many other bright spots. Filling early spots with guys rated ranked 500-1000 doesn't tell me they are very optomistic about their chances with higher ranked guys either. It's disappointing that we may be taking a guy ranked outside of 1000 10 months before signing day. Worse, its is at probably our biggest area of need, and biggest weaness, but we forgot to recruit the two highest rated OT's to come out of our state in the last 20 years. These are mistakes I would have never expected when Harbaugh came here.

The clock in the corner of

The clock in the corner of the television is not the game clock. It is not always in sync.

Plus, I would love to see him

Plus, I would love to see him agitate Dantonio
